maggie is a 25 year old single mom from Decatur, TX. she was raised by her older brother Tyson after her dad was killed over seas and her mom remarried she moved in with Tyson for 3 years before she moved to Nashville, TN. and from the time maggie was 9 years old she always dreamed about one day moving to Nashville, Tennessee. Where she could follow her dream of being a singer/songwriter. Finally one day she had saved up enough money to finally move her and her 4 year old daughter to Nashville. After she moves she finds a job at Ace hardware that allowed her 2 weekends off a month in which she would spend singing in honky tonk clubs around Nashville.
Fast Forward a year and she's still working at Ace and playing honky tonks and still a single mom.
When one day Easton Corbin walks in. I'm putting together a display when i almost hit him when i pick up the display to move it and realize i almost hit him. And i say
"OMG I'm so sorry! I didn't see you"
he smiles and says "it's really okay, I know them things ain't easy to handle."
i laugh and agree with him before i start humming along to the song that just started playing (silver wings {my favorite song!} by merle haggard) then i start singing when he turns around and starts singing along and before we notice half the store is standing there watching, taking pictures and videoing us.
Before i notice i'm singing (jackson by june carter cash and johnny cash) and (baby be my love song by Easton Corbin) After finishing the song i walk to the front with him and buy a huge bottle of water and drink half of it. After we both take a couple drinks of our waters Easton turns to me and says
"your amazing! I've never heard someone sing that good without being filtered"
i say "thanks! Your pretty good yourself!."
Easton turns back to me and says
"You should become a singer your insanely talented!." i say
"I've been trying to but I'm not getting anywhere and I've been here almost 2 years and haven't ." Easton turns to me and says
"you need someone to help you get started and after hearing you today I think you'd be great" i say
"I'd like that as long as your okay with hanging out with 3 dogs and a super active 4 year old that are crazy about attention" Easton laughs and says
"I'm totally fine with it as long as they like me"
we exhanged numbers and i finished my shift before picking up dinner for me and layne
