Chapter Twenty

"So you were actually drunk and had stay the night at Tusk and Yamato's place,"  Amu said after Sela finished explaining what happen. "And Tusk and Yamato didn't tell me because they were worried how I would react to it".

Sela nodded. "You're not upset, are you?"

Amu shook her head. "No, but I prefer to know about it rather than not knowing. I'm glad that you told me now". She frowned. "Why did you got yourself drunk in the first place?"

"Well," Sela sighs and looked at Amu. "I was sad and upset".

"Wasn't it because of me?" Amu asked, thinking that it was her that cause Sela to get drunk yesterday and didn't came home.

"No, it's not you,"  Sela says "It just that I discovered that Yamato is in love with you and I know you do too".

Amu was shocked that Sela knew about it even though she never say anything. She stared down at her hands. "I didn't want to see you hurt. I admit that I have fallen in love with Yamato, but I didn't told him nor would go through with relationship with him. I rather kept my feeling to myself and buried it then hurt you, Sela," She explained.

"Amu. I know you don't want to hurt me but seeing you suffer like this doesn't make me happy. You deserve to be happy and if Yamato is the one that makes you happy then you should be with him".

Amu shook her head. "I can't do that. You have been wanting to meet Yamato since you chat with him online and I know that you do have feelings for him".

Sela grabbed Amu's hand and pat it. "You're truly a good friend. I really appreciate that you're willingly to push your feelings for Yamato away for me, but it would be for the best that I stepped back and let you follow your heart".

"But," Amu started to say, but Sela cut her off.

"I'll be fine with it even though it's going to take some time for me to get use to you and Yamato being together in relationship. You and I will always be friend no matter". 

"I don't know," Amu looked down at her hands. "You're a great understanding friend and that you're letting me be with Yamato really touched me, but I'm going need some time to think about it before I'll make a decision. Thank you," She got up from the couch. "I'm going to make you breakfast since you haven't eat anything. Get some rest," She smiled at Sela before she left to the kitchen.

Sela sighs and knew Amu was still holding back and was debating about being with Yamato. Perhaps if Amu see her happy with someone then she would be with Yamato.

She lay down on the couch and stared up at the ceiling. 

This may take some time for Amu to make a decision.

Sela closed her eyes for a moment before she opened it and sat up on the couch with a confused look. She touched the side of her head and thought about what happen yesterday when she was drunk.

Sela's Flashback

Tusk had carried Sela bride style out of the bar to his hotel.

Tusk placed Sela down on the couch and placed the blanket on her.

"Tusk?" She suddenly grabbed Tusk's arm and pulled him down toward her face. "Did I told you that I'm Sharkgirl yet?" she asked out loud.

"Yes you have," Tusk answered.

"Do you like me?" She asked which cause Tusk to be surprised by it.

"Sela, I...," Tusk started to say, but Sela placed her finger on his lips, stopping him.
