She's always by my side.
I stood there like a fish, mouth gaping open for oxygen to enter. My body just wasn't getting enough of it to transport such huge information to my brain.
Sebastian stood in front of me, a hopeful glint in his eyes. That's when I realised that he was waiting for an answer.
"Y-yes! Yes! A thousand times yes! Ahem! I mean, yes," I say sheepishly, kinda overreacted back there. I took a deep breath, regaining my composure. I felt faint but I knew it wasn't caused by another attack.
I watched in awe as I saw Sebastian's face morph into life. From a shy look, awaiting rejection, to a smiling sunshine. He was basically Riley.
"Ha! She said yes! You said yes! Oh my god! I did not expect that. You have no idea how long I've been watching you. Does that sound creepy? Of course it does. Idiot, why would you do that, Sebs? Stupid. Stupid, stup-" I couldn't stand watching him scold and beat himself up anymore. I took him by his arm and held his chin, forcing him to look at me.
Even after what I saw, he still had a lot of happiness in his eyes. His brain is just feeding him false facts.
"Hey, look. You're wacky. I'm weird. Let's be crazy together," I whispered softly, happily. I recently came back to planet Earth and noticed we were in the library.
He smiled at me, making me forget that he was a year older than me. But what's one year to an entire lifetime, right?
He hugged me tightly, very, may I add. But I didn't mind. His scent was comforting. He looked at me with a look in his eyes that shows how much I mean to him. Who knew someone could like a potato so much.
After a long talk, we decided to make our entire weekend free. Not knowing which day to go out on. We could possibly go out on both days.
We exchanged numbers and walked, more like skipped, away happily.
"Boo! Hah! Y-your face. Oh, you should've seen it. Gold. Pure gold. Happy pre-Halloween" a familiar voice scared me. I was a little far in dream land to register it quickly. So I just stood there looking clueless.
Then I look at the who was beside me even if I knew who it was already. New kid, or as recently informed, Zay. He was wearing black jeans and a grey shirt. Not to forget a black hoodie that said ' I smell smoke', which I obviously know what it means.
Then, I remembered something. Next thing he knows, he's pinned to a wall. The look on his face would have got me laughing if I wasn't boiling in anger.
"Why did you do that? And I'm not talking about what you just did. Yesterday. Why did you do that? Someone might have been injured and it would have been my fault!" I yelled.
He looked like a lost puppy. Except he was pinned against a wall. And to be completely honest, I never knew I was this strong. He was not holding back one bit. I could feel his struggle, but I couldn't be bothered by it.
I then heard a laugh in the distance and immediately relaxed. He fell to the floor (don't ask how I got him up that high) and scrambled to his feet. I didn't stay to see him dust off his clothes but I definitely heard it.
"What's her problem?" I ignored it and followed the laughter, that surprisingly gave me a sense of comfort.
Damn it, Sebs.

"Hey, are you busy?" I asked gingerly.
"Yeah, actually. But it's kinda my job to help you so what do you need?" he said casually, like he uses it as an excuse a lot. He wasn't even looking at me. His eyes were fixed on the computer, which he uses for only library use, otherwise he'll be on his phone.
He looked up and immediately regretted his words. He looked apologetic. He scrambled to get up and when he did, he say back down. Then, back up he stood. I almost laughed at his hysterics.
I just needed to spill some anger out and was hoping he could help. Alas, he looked busy. I smiled understandingly and answered as normally as possible, hoping no signs of disappointment were evident.
"Nah, it's fine. I'll just go. You look busy and it's not important. Just continue. Sorry to disturb." I said in a rush, which was not intended. I turned on my heels and walked in long strides instead of quick, small steps.
In my attempt to get away quickly, I looked down to avoid tripping. Unfortunately, I bumped into a wall. How embarrassing. Except the wall apologised. I looked up to see my traitor best friend.
So all problems aside, I focus my attention on him, needing this distraction. I slapped him in the chest and stood back, arms akimbo.
"Ow! Hey! My chest never did anything to you. Who asked you not to watch where you were going?" I ignored his lame attempt to insult me and dragged him by the ear to an empty table.
Throughout our journey, you could hear him complaining, loudly. It's like this isn't a library anymore.
I sat him down and while he nursed his ear, which is now red, I filled him up on what happened since he abandoned me.
From the silent curses I was giving him, to Gracie, Sebastian and finally, Zay. He sat there listening attentively with occasional comments and a bunch of potential sidetracks.
But nevertheless, I was determined to finish the story and give him a lecture on the consequences of leaving me alone for even a day.
That's when he started to be annoying and kick my chair, showing clearly how bored he was. I tried to ignore it at first but my voice became high-pitched, a sign that I'm annoyed and that's when I vowed to always control my pitch.
A smug look flashed across his face. He kicked. And kicked. And kicked. He wouldn't stop. Even when I glared at him he wouldn't stop. Finally, I had enough of it and decided to take action.
I grabbed his shirt and pulled, while he kicked the hardest he had kicked. My chair was kicked back from under me and gravity pulled me down while I pulled him along, my hand still grabbing his shirt.
We fell in an awkward position. It wasn't painful or anything, just that he was on top of me and our bodies were nearly touching.
"Bad timing, then?" I heard a voice say. At first I feared that it was Sebastian and opened my mouth to explain. But looked up and there stood Justin and Gracie.
Yay?
