The Alpha's Treasure (EDITING)

chapter 6

Peace.

All I could feel was peace as I stared at the ocean in front of me.
"Mommy, mommy". I turned around as I heard a little voice call out.

"Hi there princess" I said to the little girl. "Are you looking for your mom?"

"That's so funny mommy" she said laughing at what I just said. Is that supposed to be funny?

"Sky!!". I heard someone call out to me and the voice, that voice sounded awfully familiar.

"Sky?" I heard again but from a different person. "Wake up".

"She's coming to" I hear again and this time from a voice I know all too well belongs to Lily.

I try opening my eyes but the shining sun, coming in from the window prevents me from doing so.

I try again and this time I succeed.

"Are you okay?" Lily asks.

I turn to look at her then my eyes go round the room, taking in the look of a worried Ian and his girlfriend Sophia.

Daniel is standing by the door with a murderous look on his face, Luke is right beside Dan with a look of guilt on his face and Caleb, well Caleb is just standing there with his face rid of any emotions.

"Yeah. I'm fine". I reply to Lily hoping she wouldn't ask any more questions because I sure as hell wasn't okay.

"Do you....... remember anything from last night" she asks again slowly, choosing her words carefully.

"No"

"She's lying". I turn to look at Caleb as he speaks, his face still emotionless. "I can tell".

"So you do remember" Lily says, more to herself than to me.

"Where are you going". She asks as I get down from the bed.

I notice I'm wearing a long sleeved gown that falls just above my knees and it wasn't mine.

"It's mine" Lily says as she sees me staring down at the gown.

I mumble a small thank you and begin to make my way to the door.

"Where are you going?" Luke asks grabbing my arm in the process.

He releases my arm as soon as he sees how tense I become as soon as he touches me.

"I'm sorry". I hear the sadness in his voice as he apologizes.

"I just want Jacob" I say ignoring his apology and answering his question.

Jacob might be annoying sometimes, but he's still my brother.

I feel genuinely protected when I'm with Jacob and standing here in the middle of all these people makes me feel vulnerable.

I just want my brother's arms around me right now.

He was my protector and comfort when I was little and now I want that comfort I used to feel back then.

I hear a loud growl from behind me and before I knew it Caleb is right in front of me.

He doesn't scare me, not in the slightest.

I saw what he turned into last night and I was freaked out and nothing can top that.

What he did now didn't scare me at all. I can't feel anything, not fear, not shock, not sadness, nothing and I know it isn't good that way.

I just stare up at him with no emotions in my eyes and wait for him to let me through.
