It was eight in the morning. The flight to Nevada had just ended and people began scrambling off the plane. Some went to find people they know, others went to go make their own way.
A boy with light blonde hair and sea-foam eyes only seemed to be searching for the eyes of a man he was not exactly excited to see."Yurio!" He heard this man with platinum colored hair yell out.
Yurio only groaned, dragging his luggage along with him to where his former partner sat.
Viktor stood up, smirking and holding his arms apart. "Did you miss me?"
"Not at all." Yurio grunted, letting go of his luggage and crossing his arms. "I was cut off from my other case just to help your phony ass because you can't solve a case."
Viktor raised his eyebrows. "Well I can see you missed me too, little fairy."
"Shut the fuck up." With that, Yurio once again grabbed his luggage and began walking ahead of Viktor.
When they got into Viktor's car, the first two minutes of the drive was awkwardly silent.
Yurio played with his hair, not glancing once at Viktor.
"How shitty are you doing anyway?" Yurio asked emotionlessly, finally breaking the silence.
"We were doing fine until we found out that the cops here don't know what they're doing."
Yurio chuckled. "How's that partner who basically stole my name? I bet he isn't doing his job either."
Viktor frowned at this. "It's not his fault he has one more u in his name than you do."
Yurio huffed in response.
Viktor continued. "He looked small at first, but he's starting to show he can do things-"
"That's not what you said three weeks ago when you complained to Yakov," Yurio cut him off. "He told me about how you wouldn't shut the hell up about Katsuki not being your type of partner."
"That was three weeks ago." Viktor said sternly.
Yurio snorted. "So now you suddenly like this brat? I bet he blew you just to get you to like him."
"Yuri-"
"You know what? We're stopping at your hotel so I can book a room and meet this weirdo myself."
Viktor once again rolled his eyes. If anything, he wished Yurio would just keep his smart comments to himself.***
Yuuri was surprised when he heard Viktor's ringtone from his regular phone. He went to go check his phone to see the message.
Asshole with Grey Hair: You might wanna get dressed and make up the bed
Yuuri raised an eyebrow.
Yuuri: Why?
Soon enough, he heard Viktor's ringtone go off.
Asshole with Grey Hair: Yurio wants to meet you
Yuuri: Wym?
Yuuri: and wait, isn't his name just Yuri?
Asshole with Grey Hair: he's gonna come into our room in twenty minutes. Also, beware, he's really angry all the time and probably doesn't like you :)
Yuuri's eyes widened in realization. He didn't really think Yurio wanted to see him at all, and the fact that Yurio would most likely see him sick made him feel ten times worse. However, Yuuri still got up and began collecting some clothing to wear. Making sure he didn't make his headache worse, he slowly walked into the bathroom and made a quick attempt to take a shower.
By the time he'd finished and gotten dressed in the bathroom, he'd realized Viktor had texted more than a couple of times, as his phone was ringing off the hook.
Asshole with Grey Hair: we're gonna be there in five minutes. Where are you??
Asshole with Grey Hair: are you getting dressed??
Asshole with Grey Hair: I hope tf so bitch
Asshole with Grey Hair: I'm sorry, ly
Asshole with Grey Hair: 👅👉👌
Yuuri rolled his eyes reading the last text and marked the messages as read. "Jesus..."
