Chapter 2.-Big Day

As if on cue my alarm clock started echoing the horrible sound that I hated to hear. Meaning it was time to get up.
Next thing I knew my mom was yelling "Veronica darling wake up , you don't want to be late on your first day do you?" Huh? First day? As it set in my eyes widened and I jumped to my feet grabbing my clothes and hitting the shower. After I was ready I went down to get some breakfast and to no surprise Echo was running late.
Her parents were already here. "Where's Echo?" I asked Katherine and Phil. (Echos parents) "Well you know her she's probably still in bed!" Her dad exclaimed laughing. "Oh Veronica dear,won't you go wake her up?" Her mother asked sweetly kissing me in the cheek. "Of course, she is my bestfriend after all! What fun would it be if I let her sleep in?" I yelled running out the door. The good thing about Echo and her family is that they lived directly across from us. I quietly opened the door and krept in being as quiet as possible. I managed to get all the way up the stairs without making a noise. Finally! I had reached Echos room. You could always tell which room was Echoes. 
I mean I suppose everyone could with all of the keep out signs and posters from her favorite books. Echo definitely had her own style and she wasn't afraid to show it. Her goofy personality blended so well with her style I was kinda jealous of her. We were 11 and she had already formed her own identity. I feel like I'm just like every typical girl. But Echo was different and that's why we were the perfect pair.
There was never a dull moment with her , if we weren't watching are favorite movie then we were discussing are favorite characters or actors. But we were very mischievous using are already found "talents" we pulled tons of pranks on people around town.
I realized I had been just standing at her door with my hand on the knob for who know how long. I slowly opened her door it letting out a tiny shriek. I thought for sure I was busted. She's the lightest sleeper in the world. But to my surprise she hadn't been woke by the sound. I knew I only had a little bit of time so I ran and jumped on her like a child. "Echo wake up! Wake up! We're gonna be late for our first day come on don't you want to find out what house we're in?!" She hummed and mumbled. "Echo your house is on fire!" Nothing.
Hum I know for sure what will get her up. "Echo there's pop tarts at my house but you have to get up and get ready first!" The second I said pop tart she darted out of bed knocking me off in the process. I sat there laughing for a little bit.
Then I got up and brushed the dust off my gray skinny jeans and retied the shoes laces to my teal converses. After doing so I admired my choice in outfit. I looked over at Echo body length mirror at my outfit. Teal converse , gray skinny jeans and a teal obey hoodie. I nodded my head in approval at my appearance. I loved everything about the simple outfit. I knew we would be on the train for quite some time so I wanted to stay comfortable.
In no time Echo came out of the bathroom wearing a red TOP hoodie, black skinny jeans ,and gray converses. I nodded my head at her. It's as if we had the exact same thought she mirrored my nod of approval." You look great!" We said in unison. The we burst out laughing then went in for a high five but purposely missed the first two times. It was kind of an inside joke we shared. "Come on Veronica, I can almost hear the pop tarts yelling for there momma!" Echo yelled cracking me up. " Okay okay let's go" I said linking arms with her and waltzing out of there house collecting Echoes things for our trip. After breakfast we made our way to the train station.
