Chapter 5.-Cedric Doggty

Today's classes were pretty uneventful. At lunch I told Sasha and the rest of the group about Cedric. They were all pretty happy except for the guys. Ron was just upset because he sees me as a sister and he's very protective same with Harry we have a unbreakable bond already. Draco seemed a lot more mad than them and I'm not sure why. None of them had any reason to be mad were just friends, right? I doubt he likes me like that. So I'm almost sure he's just being friendly. After lunch me and Sasha had a class together where we further discussed Cedric. "Do you like him?" Sasha asked . "I'm not sure. At this point in time it's undetermined." "Oh. Well that's cool I guess, just make sure you know before you pick!" She stated. Before I pick? What does she mean by that? That's odd. I decided not to question it because I was probably misunderstanding something. I'm not gonna lie to myself I think Draco's cute. But we're friends. That's all. After all this overthinking I realized I'm supposed to meet Echo in the library after class so she can copy my homework. Immediately after class I rushed to the library . Finding are usual table I sat down only to find that I'd made it here before Echo. I opened my spell book and started studying. Harry was my partner most of the time in that class but when we got to work in groups we worked with Sasha and Echo. I'm a little off in my flying lessons but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it. I looked up as Echo barged into the library and threw her books down on the table. "Bad day?" I whispered. She looked up at me and replied "Just peachy!" She stuck her feet on the table and said "So V will you help me with this homework ?" I giggled. "Duhhhhh, of course silly! What class?" I replied rolling my eyes. "Potions" she replied bluntly. Hummm what could she be missing it's very simple equations to calculate the amount of each substance that gets added to the base before the liquids and or heat is applied to form the product. "Let me see the sheet!" I yelled a little to loud because next thing I knew students and the librarian where shushing us. I glared at the librarian and turned around to speak my mind to the annoying students behind me. "Do you realize it's not your job to shush me there's librarians for that you boogie head!" I whisper yelled and turned around. After reapplying myself to helping Echo I quickly saw where she went wrong. "Ah, here you are where it says :" 3ml+4oz=3.4ml" you completely flopped it the answer should be 4.3oz!" I told her. "See this is why I need you! I've never been good at this kind of stuff! But you , you always let me cheat!" We both giggled at her statement "It's not cheating Echo, it's teamwork!" I replied we both looked at each other and giggled again. "Ah, V team means more than one persons doing the work!" She stated "So, do you know what Sasha meant when she said think about it before I pick?" I asked my curiosity getting the best of me. "Wow you should see this your the smartest out of all of us. She's talking about Doggty and Malfoy." She replied rolling her eyes. She does that a lot. Hum so she's saying to not rush into anything and to think about my decision. But in this someone's feelings get hurt! But I do always jump at an opportunity to talk to Draco and Cedric is really sweet but if it came down to it I still wouldn't know who to pick. There polar opposites. One is completely different from the other, Cedric is sweet and he's caring. He doesn't really look to much into what people say. He's also a year ahead how would that look if we were ever to become anything? Oh lo-"You okay over there!?" Echo asks breaking me from my thought. "Oh yea , just over thinking like always." I replied looking down at my watch. I start panicking " I gotta go! I'm going to be late!" I replied rushing to get my thing and get to the pub to find Cedric. One I get there I check the time 6:00 on the dot. I mentally high fives myself. I rubbed the creases out of my skirt and waltzed over. "Heyyy Veronica. These are my friends!" Cedric said once he saw me. "Hi guys" I replied awkwardly sitting by Cedric. I noticed amongst the table there was two boys and two girls. There were the Weasley twins Luna and Hermione Granger. She's the same year as me we just don't ever talk other then the times where Harry and Rob bring her around and even the we don't really speak. "How was your day beautiful?" Cedric asks putting his arm around me. "It was okay. Kinda stressful. I'm overthinking about a lot of things especially the exam from professor S's class!" I sigh. "Don't worry your gonna ace it. Your really smart V. And beautiful." He replies lifting my chin up so I was looking him dead in his eyes. His eyes were so pretty yet so simple I could get lost in his chocolate colored orbs. I blush and try to look down but he stops me. "Thank you Cedric!" I said smiling. "No problem cutie!" I giggle at him and we join the others in conversation. After everyone decides to leave Cedric walks me to my corridors. On the way we discuss everything and both nothing all at the same time. Once we get to my door I turn around a look at my feet as I begin fiddling with my fingers. "I had a really nice time Cedric thank you." I said. "No problem I enjoyed myself too." I reached up and hugged him as I was pulling away I looked into his eyes. He started leaning in and I didn't realize how close he was. I could get his warm breathe. "Goodnight princess." He said then pecked my lips. I couldn't speak after that I just nodded and walked inside closing the door and sliding down it to come to a sitting position on the floor. All I could think about was my first kiss. Thinking about it made my heart flutter and my checks redden. I rubbed my finger tips against my lips resting them there. Cedric definitely wasn't making it easy for me to choose. I decided to shower and go to bed tomorrow was a Saturday which meant I had an afternoon class for extra credit and that's it. I decided to turn in anyways. But once I had layed down I couldn't sleep. All I could think about was Cedric. Cedric Doggty .
