Dawn broke out from beyond the trees, light cracked through as a new day begun. Showing hope that even in darkness, there came another day to have potential light, something that passes the horrors of the night before.

Sirius could feel the warmth of the sunbeating down, he could feel the light from the sun beckoning him to open his eyes. If the sun was shining and he could feel the warmth perhaps everything that took place the night before didn't take place, maybe it was just a dream.

At that Sirius slowly opened his grey eyes slowly as his eyes adjusted from the sensitivity of the light. His head pounded as he tried to get up, the ground was hard and rough. Making his body feel strained from the uncomfortable floor, it felt like one of those nights where him and his friends drank too much firewhiskey.

As his eyes finally adjusted he could make out the grey walls of a cave, Sirius' eyebrow raised wondering how he had landed himself in the cave. Confused, he stood up wobbly as he tried to regain his balance.

"Merlin, how did I get here?" He asked himself.

Sirius couldn't remember a single thing that had happened to him the night before, the last memory he had was leaving the castle with James and Peter to look for Remus, after that everything was blank.

He wondered where his friends were, and if they knew he hadn't made it back to the castle. Had his friends also somehow passed out somewhere in the Forrest.

At that thought Sirius went to go search for his friends. Not sure entirely where he was going to go, however he felt him leaving the cave would help him better.

He wandered out of the cave, blinking back the Sun's strong rays. His legs still felt shaky as he walked, the strength in his legs still not building up to what he hoped.

"Where are you going?" A voice called to him, Sirius' body stilled with alarm as the voice was not familiar but haunting enough for him to halt his movement.

He turned slowly, unsure of what he'd find. His eyes landed on a woman, although she didn't look like the average kind.

Her hair was a deep brown color, as her green eyes stayed steady on him, watching his movements closely. Her skin was still an off color as it appeared to be as if every part of her body was deeply bruised in splotches of blue's and purples.

Sirius was confused for a moment was the girl lost as well? She looked tired and seriously hurt from the cuts, scraps and discoloration of her skin. Her white gown, that oddly enough looked like a wedding gown was heavily stained and ripped. It hadn't dawned on him yet who the being was as it didn't connect to his memory yet why it felt similar the way she looked.

"Are you alright? What's your name?" Sirius asked alarmed.

"Emily." She stated as she stepped forward timidly, but she was not very graceful as she accidentally stumbled over her legs a few times making her way over to Sirius. The last movement had her almost fall completely forward as Sirius sprung to life to prevent her from falling and hurting herself more.

"I'm Sirius." He muttered as he held her close to him, trying to steady her, he felt a violent shiver roll through him making his teeth slightly chattere from the odd touch of her skin, it was cold as ice. Colder than anything he had ever felt as he pulled her back to her feet before him.

"You're freezing, we got to get you back home. Do you know where you live?" He asked her softly, not trying to scare the poor girl who looked like she came from hell and back.

Once the girl regained her balance and was able to stand on her own, Sirius slowly let go of his arms from around her.

The girl peered up at him, her bright green eyes sparkling, despite how she looked. Her face was littered with deep small cuts, the blood on them were dry but it still caused Sirius' kind heart to worry, he had always found himself in the midst of helping someone, even if he tried to avoid it at times. It was a strange impulse to have, but he couldn't leave someone behind who could use his help.
