Sometimes You Don't Realize What You've Done

The gray bunny strolled down the lonely street, her purple eyes glowing from the reflections of the sunlight shining through the Tundra Town air.  Rabbits weren't known for enjoying the cool temperatures.  In fact, Judy disliked the cold so much, she couldn't stand to be here more than a few minutes, and the trip she and Nick took here a few months before had lasted nearly all night, causing her fur to rise to levels she didn't even know it could.  Her police uniform did little to protect her from the icy bite of the air, her ears lowered, trying to keep her head and shoulders warm.  Not many other animals were out tonight, leaving the rabbit to herself out on her patrol.  She hesitated to bring the vehicle through these roads, for pushing the car out of the snow banks was always a hassle for such a small animal.  Judy wasn't weak, she was a tough bunny.  But she knew her limits as well, and couldn't push a vehicle meant for larger animals out of the snow.  Not even Nick, her partner, could do such as task.  Speaking of Nick, he wasn't with her this time. He had something to do..something about seeing his mother maybe?  Judy wanted nothing more than to meet Nick's mother for the first time, but was always afraid to.  What would she think of her?  Her son, bringing home a rabbit.  A prey.  She was worried Nick's mother might not accept her for who she was.  So when Judy did get the chance to visit her, she wanted to be at her best. She was thinking maybe wearing her police uniform so his mother would know she was polite and respectful..The rabbit also didn't want his mother to think she was nothing but a small town hick and knew nothing more than growing carrots and blueberries.  She had to prove his mother wrong, and show her that she was someone worth paying attention to. Someone good enough for her only son.

Judy continued on her patrol, searching the streets for any signs of criminals stealing or someone vandalizing a car.  The rabbit didn't notice the lurking shadows somewhere across the street, dark green eyes glowing from the side of the corner.  The creature watched the rabbit stroll down the road, as if having no care in the world.  She didn't understand what she had put some animals through only a few months before.  Revealing himself, a snow leopard with dark patches around his green eyes walked out of the darkness.  He wore a white shirt, and a simple black jacket over himself, a large hole ripped in the side.  He wore a gold bracelet around his right arm, and his fur was matted around his head from wearing his jacket hood for too long.  He had a chip in his left ear, part of it being ripped off during a fight with another predator years ago.  The cat reached into his pocket, pulling out a small item, treating it like a fragile gem.  This one thing could change the world, as it had already nearly done a few months before.  The leopard lifted the item up into the light, showing one small, dark blue pellet.

"Let's see this the other way around.." he muttered coldly, his breath showing in the cool air.  He quickly flipped his hood over his head before he swiftly moved out into the street, following the bunny tracks.
