I'm Going to Find Him

Nick stomped his feet down the sidewalks of Sahara Square before entering into the Zootopia Police Department doors.  He wore his dark blue uniform, his golden badge on the right side of his chest gleaming "Nicholas P Wilde".  He wasn't happy.  Someone, some stupid cat named Cole had attacked Judy and forced her to turn savage.  That rotten cat wasn't going to get away with what he had done.

Nick slammed his fist down on Clawhauser's table, getting the cheetah's attention.  Nick had left the hospital about an hour ago, and the cheetah was already well bandaged up, back at work.

"Someone did this to her." said the red fox angrily.  Clawhauser's eyebrow raised.

"I mean, heh, I figured as much.  I wouldn't think Judy would try to rip my face off for no reason. You know, unless I made her mad.  You think I ever made her mad?"

"No, she was affected by night howlers.  But someone made her eat one."

"She..ate one?" Nick nodded.

"That's not healthy.  What are we going to do about it?  Have any idea who could of done it?" he asked.

"Cole."

"Cole?"

"A snow leopard in Tundra Town.  That's what Judy told me anyway.  He wanted revenge on her for causing a city wide panic with her speech a few months ago." he finished.

The cheetah turned his head in confusion.

"But..Judy apologized..  Many apologized." he said sadly.  Nick nodded.

"Yeah but, you remember that predator family that got murdered?"

"Yeah..Sad story.."

"Well, those two animals we Cole's parents."

The cheetah gasped, putting his hands on his cheeks.

"Ohhhh!! So this entire thing is a revenge plot!?"  Nick rolled his eyes.

"So Cole wanted revenge on Judy and wanted to turn her into a savage because he was mad at her for her speech she said a few months ago because her speech caused animals to fear and begin to distrust predators and therefore lead to a group pf prey animals killing two innocent predators because they were afraid of them and now this is their son and he hates Judy for what she said and for what she caused and so he went ahead and found her and turned her into a savage because he wanted her to be hated and start hatred toward prey animals?" The cheetah gasped, taking in a gulp of air after his long sentence.  Nick stared, surprised the cheetah didn't pass out.

"Y-yes." said Nick.

"Sounds bad."

"I'm going to find him."

"You are?"

"Yes.  Tonight."

"Nick..it's nearly midnight..Our shift is almost over..I know you were off today, but I understand the need for you..too find this guy.  I'm sure Chief Bogo would be willing to help you find him."

"I don't need any help.  I just wanted to let you know was what going on." said Nick.  Clawhauser looked at him strangely.

"No help?  What if you need back up? This guy could be dangerous.  He turned Judy savage, so he must have night howlers in stock.  What if he tries to fire them at you?"

Nick's ears lowered, and he thought about what his friend had just said.  It was true.  Nick could be shot with the serum, and turn savage and hurt someone, causing the distrust to rise again.  He couldn't let that happen.  But Nick wanted to get a hold of this guy as soon as possible.  He couldn't sleep knowing that someone had attacked Judy, and he was still out there, free, not facing the consequences of what he had done.

"I'll call for back up if I need it.  Just keep your phone close." he told the cheetah, before turning around and walking out the door.

"Oh, and let Bogo know some guy named Cole did this to Judy!" he shouted across the room to Clawhauser, before shutting the glass doors.

Nick wasn't going to let this guy get away from him.  He would hunt him down to the very edge of Zootopia if he had to.
