You're Not Alone (Naruto Fanfic)

Training Day (pt2)

Hey everyone, school has been getting a bit hectic. I've managed to set up my semesters for the next two years and I plan to graduate in 2020, super excited to be a teacher. Anyways, here's the next chapter, enjoy!

  The sensei watched as all of the genin entered the training ground. Sakura and Into panting, Neji and Tenten calmly walking in last. Kiba boasting about reaching the grounds first, Lee doing pushups after losing the race. Chouji and Shikamaru complaining while laying in the grass, Hinata watching Ino and Sakura bickering over Sasuke, Shino sitting in a tree, and finally Naruto and Sasuke leaning over the bridge.
  "You're right Kakashi, those two are an odd pair. A revenge seeking Uchiha and Konoha's number one orange knuckleheaded ninja." Asuma said.
  "You know, I've never seen him this happy." A voice said causing the sensei to turn.
  A young man with a scar on his nose stood on a tree limb. He wore a small smile as he watched Naruto and Sasuke.
  "Iruka, to what do we owe the pleasure." Kurenai said before Kakashi could speak.
  "Ah..sorry for intruding. Genma had told me, Naruto was asleep at home and when I got there he had left. After his session with Ibiki this morning I was a bit worried." Iruka said getting a few odd glances from some of the sensei.
"Does..Naruto live with you?" Asuma asked.
"Um...well he's my adopted son. He stays from time to time or he'll be in his apartment. For the most part I try to keep him at my place to keep an eye on him." Iruka said.
  "DID YOU SAY...SON!" Guy asked.
  "Well of course. Um...I love Naruto and made it my job to care for him when he started the academy. He was always like my little brother when I first met him, but as time progressed he felt like my own flesh and blood." Iruka responded with a small smile.
  "RUKA!" A voice yelled before Iruka was tackled to the ground by a blonde blur.
  The sensei and genin were shocked by the speed at which Naruto moved.
  "What are you doing here? Where's Genma?" The blonde asked as he helped the fallen Chunin from the ground.
  "He's working and I came to check you were with your team and not off training alone. I'll be going now." He said quickly leaving.
  "So... Kakashi sensei...when are we gonna start training?" Naruto asked for the first time acknowledging his sensei since that day.
  With a shared look to the other sensei Kakashi explained the sparring parameters and Kurenai had created a system to match the spars.
  "Okay first up, Sakura and Ino." Asuma said.
  Both girls walked to the center of the grounds throwing glances at Sasuke who ignored them as he talked to Naruto.
  "UGH NARUTO STOP PESTERING SASUKE SO HE CAN WATCH OUR FIGHT!" Sakura yelled as Ino nodded vigorously in agreement.
  "Hm...oh...um Sorry Sakura, Ino, please continue." Naruto replied shocking everybody present except the Uchiha.
  The two girls then took their stances and on Asuma's signal began their battle.
   (Okay y'all so for battle scenes I'm not gonna write any up just yet. I'm gonna lay out all the battles and y'all comment on which ones y'all want full scenes for so I can write separate chapters for each. The only fight I will for sure be writing out is the fight between Naruto and Sasuke.)
  As the girls fought under the supervision of Gai and Kakashi, Kurenai approached the remaining genin and proceeded to lay out the sparring assignments.
  "Okay everyone, I have a set list of who is going to fight who, depending on your technics and capabilities the rules for each match will change. After Sakura and Ino, we have Kiba and Lee, Shino and Shikamaru, Tenten and Chouji, Neji and Hinata,  and finally Naruto and Sasuke."
