Aisuru, in her white tracksuit, fit in perfectly with her surroundings sat at the far table, accompanied by Jean Bart, Penguin, Shachi and Ikkaku. Penguin and Shachi looked enthralled with her while Jean and Ikkaku were actually listening to her story.

"I dove off the crows nest," she was recounting, "and I swear I had the perfect angle on the guy, but out of nowhere this ass hole shoots me with a freakin' grappling gun!" she threw her hands in the air to emphasize her point, "Who carries at grappling gun on the ocean? Anyway, it goes straight through the hole in my chest and burst open, and he gives it a good tug. I hit the ground so hard I swear I was seeing daylight. That's where I got really lucky though, because all the guys thought I'd be down for the count. I managed to cut a few achilles tendons before they realized I was still hooked on that damn..."

Law sighed. The story was eerily consistent with her wounds. Seeing as it must have been a harrowing experience by itself, not counting the incident after, he was surprised she seemed to remember it so well. He would have to ask her later... In the company of at least Bepo.

Another unusual thing he noted... Aisuru hadn't had any of the same teasing behaviour with the rest of the crew. Yes, she had asked if Shachi and Penguin wanted to see why he (Law) had been so resentful against her. However, their very over the top reactions when she appeared to be about to unzip her jacket made her cringe, and he had assumed, rightly, that she wouldn't attempt to tease them again.

Jean Bart's reaction had put her off in short order as well. Teasing him was met by a pointed look and "You already gave your heart away."

Law smirked, thinking about her frustrated pouting. It was almost as gratifying as the cute squeaking sound she made when startled. He felt a certain amount of satisfaction in knowing that she couldn't tease the rest of the crew.

I quite like having you to myself.

He shook his head. Those were her words, not his. He definitely had no reason to think that way. Even though Ikkaku had insinuated that his interest in Aisuru was more than a captain's or a doctor's should be, there was no reason for him to think she was right.

"Ikkaku-ya," He interrupted, looking straight up, "Did you paint the ceiling?"

She shrugged, holding her hands palm up with a sigh, "I had extra paint, and I couldn't just let it go to waste! Isn't it so much brighter in here? More cheerful?"

Law looked back down at her, flat faced.

"I might be new," Aisuru chimed in, "But even I know that Trafalgar Law doesn't do cheerful." She giggled as he glared at her. "Hey, does anyone want to play cards?"

Ikkaku jumped to her feet, "I have a deck of playing cards, i'll be right back!" she ran out of the cafeteria, presumably to her sleeping quarters.

"What should we play?" Penguin looked around the room, looking for suggestions.

"I vote for poker!" Aisuru grinned, "We could play strip poker, if everyone's okay. I'm not very good though..." she gave him a sideways glance.

Law sighed, determined not to give her what she wanted. He refused to have a reaction. "You might cause Penguin and Shachi to collapse from blood loss. I'm not sure I can condone that."

Indeed, they both seemed to be suffering nosebleeds even at the thought of Aisuru losing articles of clothing... He found himself glaring at them for no discernible reason. The demon woman in question caught his eye, locking gazes. A slow, self-satisfied smirk crossed her face, and he realized that she had won. She had no intention of stripping for the rest of the crew. She only wanted to see his reaction.
