"All we have to do is to put the puzzle pieces together." This is the most victorious lines na nababasa at naririnig kong mystery stories. And once someone said that? It really gives me chills.
"Allright, we're all set! Let's do this Kyle." Sabi ni Detective while wearing that smirk in his face. And he said "all set" kasi tinipon niya lahat ng responsible Ryan, Jayson, Eunice, including Kyle and me. Bigla naman lumingon si Kyle and said "Watch what a deduction show is." Aba nagmamayabang pa ah! "Well then." Sabi ko naman with matching cross arms.
"Since we're summoned here, I guess alam niyo na sino may kagagawan nito." Sabi ni Jayson. "Expose that bastard and bring Aina's death to justice" sabi naman ni Ryan. "Umpisahan niyo na po." Sabi naman ni Eunice na maluha luha pa ang mga mata. "Okay, let's start by identifying the murder weapon. She was poisoned to death by a chemical contained in here." Sabay labas ni Kyle ng picture na ngayon ng maliit na medical tube. "Poisoned? She didn't consumed anything nung nasa library ah? And bawal magpasok ng pagkain sa loob ng library." Pagtatakang sabi ni Jason. "We can answer that. Poison can be inhaled or intaken. In this case, nalason siya sa librong ito." Paliwanag ni Detective sa kanila. "Paano naman?" Tanong ni Ryan "Try it for yourself." Sabay lapag ni Kyle ng isang libro sa harap niya. "Don't worry, that wasn't the poisoned one."
"Ano naman gagawin ko dito?" Sabi niya. "Try mo ilipat ang mga pahina nito." Sabi ni Kyle. Nag umpisa na rin naman maglipat ng pages si Ryan. Pages after another hanggang sa dinilaan niya ang daliri niya para paghiwalayin ang dalawang magkadikit ng pages. "Oh! That's it!" Realization naman ni Jayson at napangiti naman si Detective. "Yes, para magpaghiwalay niya ang dalawang magkadikit na pages, kinailangan niyang dilaan ang daliri niya para mapaghiwalay ito." Sabi ni Detective. "And the poison was-" "At the bottom side of the page..." Pagkasabi ko nun ay nakatingin silang lahat sa akin, did i say something wrong? Napatingin naman ako kay Kyle and he's...smiling. As if he was saying "Nice Job!"
"Right. It was on the bottom corner." Sabi niya. Nabigla naman ang lahat. Sino ba naman hindi dahil sa pagkacreative ng way ng pagpatay sa kanya. "Now. Time to end this." There it goes, the culprits' identity will be revealed. "Actually, the stalker was no longer a stalker later on." Kyle said, he even knew who the stalker is? Man, is he a human? "Let's get this over with." Sabi ni Ryan "if you wish... The who killed Aina was one of you guys." Sabi ni Kyle and nashock naman sila. "So you're telling us?" Sabi ni Ryan na may pagkairita. "Ano!? Hindi!?" Jayson with that reaction habang speechless naman si Eunice.
"It's time to reveal the truth yourself, Mr. Jayson Martinez." Sabay turo sa kanya ni Detective. "What!? Me!? A murderer!? You must be kidding." Matawa tawa pa siya. We had the same suspects though let me see if we have the same deduction. "Where are your evidences!? Why don't you show it!?" Galit niyang pagtatanong sa dalawa.
"Sabi mo bestfriend ka niya hindi ba? And if your friendship is true, open kayo sa isa't isa. Knowing that girls usually open and doesn't keep problem to themselves. She probably told you about her stalker right?" Sabi ni Kyle with that eye contact with Jayson. "Y-yes... But that doesn't mean na may reason na ako para patayin siya!" More rage answer from him. "There is. Besides sa stalker, she probably told you about Ryan." Detective said and pointed out Ryan. "I also found out na may pagtingin ka para kay Aina and waiting for an oppurtunity, like a break up for example." Pagtutuloy niya
"Gusto mo si Aina? Kailan pa?" Gulat na tanong ni Ryan. "Noon pa! Hindi pa kayo magkasintahan gusto ko na siya. But i haven't told her about this." Jayson said. "And the way you killed her? Simple. You knew the genre of the book she likes to read." Bigla naman natawa si Jayson. "How come? If ako nga ang pumatay sa kanya, how do I poisoned a particular book na babasahin niya? Tsaka saan ako kukuha ng med tube na pinakita mo kanina? I think Ryan is more suspicious kasi his strand is MedTech whikle i take Education." Tanong ni Jayson. And looks like umandar ito dahil hindi nagsalita sila Kyle at Detective. I took that oppurtunity to browse the book Aina's reading. There are marks, folds and even pencil marks. That's when I decided...
"This was a series. A novel." Nilingon na naman nila ako, huminga naman ako ng malalim tsaka nagsalita. "Kasi merong folds meaning these pages were already read. And tinutuloy niya ito. Nakakalungkot lng na hindi niya ito natapos." Sabi ko and i saw Kyle smirked habang binalik niya ang tingin niya sa suspect. Wait. Hindi kaya...
"And about sa medical tube, siguro galing sa science lab ng school. Which kailangan para sa experiments. Alam mo siguro na the monitoring cameras ay nagbebreak tuwing resume ng afternoon class. So you just simply sneak in, get what you want and go. Which leads us to the next "culprit". Can you tell us where she kept that book, Eunice?" Kyle said and binaling ang tingin sa kanya. "O-on the shelf, but not on the usual, tinatago niya yun sa likod ng iba pang libro para hindi niya mabasa." Sabi niya "Does anybody know about this?" Tanong ni Detective "Wala po ako lang." Sagot naman ni Eunice. "That's how you knew which book ang lalagyan mo ng lason right? Humingi ka ng tulong sa stalker niya." Sabay tingin niya kaya Jayson leaving Eunice a shocked reaction. Does it mean na si Eunice ang stalker? Eh? Paano?
"There's only one solid evidence, the pictures. I noticed that they're shot on a very close range, malapit na malapit talaga siya and it's safe to think na maybe kaclose niya ang stalker to get those shots." Paliwanag ni Detective. Napa buntong hininga naman si Eunice, na parang napanatag. "I let my guard down. You got me. But I didn't mean any harm. If alam ko lang na ganito ang mangyayare hindi ko na sana sinabi ang mga nalalaman ko sa kanya!" Sabi niya habang nakayuko "Going back to you Mr. Jayson. You asked the help of Eunice since siya ang laging kasama ni Aina. That's all you needed to finally execute your plan." Natulala na lang naman si Jason. Looks like he ran out of reasons. "I... I just hate her! Oo gusto ko siya pero ayaw ko na! Akala ko magiging akin na siya dahil sinabi niya sa akin na nakikipagbreak sa kanya si Ryan but then... Ayaw niya bakit siya nagpapakatanga sayo!? Bakit!? Hindi ba ako sapat!? Meron ka ba na wala ako!? Bakit!?... Kaya ng malaman kong si Eunice lang pala ang stalker na yun. Tinanong ko lahat ng hindi ko pa nalalaman tungkol sa kanya and..."
"What a shame." Sambit ni Kyle na naka kuha ng pansin naming lahat. "Imagine people who kill just for that reason? Life is cruel. You'll never know if you win or lose, just be ready for anything. Don't end somebody's happiness for just a selfish reason." Dagdag pa niya na enough para maiyak na ng tuluyan si Jayson. Dinala ng police si Jayson. "That's what you call a deduction show." Yabang ni Kyle no? Sarap ibato! "Hindi ka pa rin kumukupas Kyle," sabi ni Detective hindi kumukupas? Floor wax ba bes? "Uhm... Excuse me Detective." He cuts me off by pointing at me. "Michael. Please." With irritation nankunwari lang yan "By the way thanks for answering the questions earlier? Nabara kami bigla eh." Sabay kamot nito sa likod ng ulo niya " I knew you did it on purpose. Probably kaninang nagbubulungan kayo." Sabi ko at nag patay malisya ang dalawa Agh! I knew it! Sadya nila! Kaasar silaaaa.
After this case went down though the library returned normal after few hours. Habang sabay kaming naglalakad ni Kyle kating kati na ako itanong 'to eh kanina pa.
"What is it?" Sabi niya huh? Mind reader ka ba? "It's written all over your face. Go on. Ask it." Ganon ba talaga ako pag nagtatanong? Urgh fine here oes nothin' "Are they really the police?" Anong tanong 'to shempre naman o- "No." He cut me off with that. "Eh? Then sino sila?" Tanong ko. He just accelerated the walk, stopped infront of me, and lumapit hanggang yung mukha niya nasa tainga ko na and whispers.. "Secret Service." Sabay tayo ulit and pumasok sa isang kwarto na hindi ko namalayan na room na pala namin. So pumasok na rin ako para sa regular class.
"Secret Service" huh?
