There are two ways to become a werecat, the first being bitten, this won't drastically change a werecat's human appearance the second is if a werecat dies. If this happens Pan the god of the wild will give the werecat to a mortal woman he deems worthy of the power. However when this is done it is more unnatural that being bitten and the new werecat will find both, one or parts of her eyes becoming yellow depending on how hard the transformation is.
Bitten or god given all werecats have the werecat mark, a big cat mid stride. This mark slowly appears as the new werecat's powers settle into her body.
Unlike any other werecreature werecats have a tell. One small aspect of the werecat won't shift back. Such as ears, footprints, reflections, tails. Werecats will try their best to hide this.
Because of Aphrodite all werecats are perceived as being beautiful, this won't drastically affect their appearance though, merely enhance it.
