Author's Note

Writing this series has honestly been one of my only joys in life at times. It's been a light in a rather dark, scary world. I've had some bumpy, depressed, lonely times over the years, but through it all I always knew I could come to Wattpad and be away from it for hours, in my own world. Thank you all for sharing that with me, and making my world that much better.

To all of my old readers: you're all amazing troopers and I couldn't be more grateful for you. You've put up with spotty updates, arguments, and months of waiting to see how this story would go. I love you all so much.

To all of my new readers: you're all amazing binge-readers and watching over the course of a day or a week or a month as you catch up to where I'm writing is one of the best feelings. Your comments call me back to parts that are lodged so deep in my memory that I've almost forgotten them. You look at a daunting series of five books with chapters that few would call short and think sounds good and reading them all. Your determination is inspiring and I'm so thankful for you guys. You give me so much joy.

What's Astra's favorite color?
She really likes green, though she's not sure why, exactly. Not Slytherin green, she's quick to point out. More of a lighter green. Kind of like Albus's eyes, though that is absolutely not why.

What's Astra's favorite muggle hobby?
She always liked bike riding as a kid. It gave her a chance to get out of the house and away from the Lewises, as well as just being pretty fun.

What's Astra's middle name?
She actually doesn't have one. Her mum was almost too out of it to name her "Astra" when she died, let alone think of a middle name. If she could choose (which she probably will do eventually, just because), she'd pick Isobel, after her mum.

Why is Marcus so stupid when he comes to girls?
Marcus's problem is that as a kid he had the sort of parents who thought he could do no wrong, so he grew up always getting exactly what he wanted and never getting in trouble. Add to that the fact that he's very aware of the fact that he's good-looking (and it's made him really conceited), and you've got the jerk you see before you today.

Is Elmer the guy Lily snogged?
If you guys remember, over their Christmas break Lily and Albus were giving James a hard time about never having kissed a girl. He turned it around on them and said neither of them had ever kissed anyone either, and it came out that Lily actually had made out with a guy before (because "they needed the practice"). Was that guy Elmer? Probably...

What's River's biggest fandom?
Definitely Doctor Who.

What's Luke's favorite hobby?
Singing and dancing (he's actually pretty good).

Which of Astra's parents has the most similar personality to her?
Both, sort of? Isobel was really funny and outgoing and creative, and people just naturally liked her. She was also pretty stubborn (where Astra gets it from). Orion, on the other hand, has Astra's distrust of authority as well as penchant for breaking rules and going against people's expectations of him. She's not necessarily "like" either of them, though, to be honest. She's her own person. If she'd been brought up by either one of them, she might've been more like that parent, but since she never knew either of them, she never really copied their personality like kids have a tendency to do.
