Marcel Gerard stands in his apartment, staring out the window at the city lights of New Orleans. His home.
"Hell of a sight." Sofya Voronova says as she walks out of the bedroom and towards Marcel. "Powerful man overlooking his city. I wonder if I could convince you to change your view?" She stands behind him.
"Oh, not that you aren't stunning, 'cause you are." Marcel says and turns around to face her. "I'm just, um... I'm having trouble shaking off the day that I had."
Sofya runs her fingers down Marcel's arm. "So... you're saying you could use a distraction? Allow me to distract." She kisses him.
Marcel kisses her back. "Mm."
They wrap their arms around each other.
Someone starts pounding on the apartment door.
"Just ignore it." Sofya says.
"No, just one second." Marcel steps away and heads toward the door.
The pounding continues.
"Yeah. All right." Marcel says. He opens the door to see Vincent Griffith, who immediately steps inside.
"Come in..." Marcel trails off.
Sofya walks back into the bedroom.
"Marcel, we got a problem. Those kids. They never made it home." Vincent tells him.
"What are you talking about?" Marcel asks. "I loaded those kids into the ambulance myself."
"The ambulance is missing, too."

In the woods of New Orleans, a group of men stand together. Some hold torches to see in the darkness. An ambulance approaches them and stops a few feet away. William Kinney gets out of the driver's side and steps toward the men. One man stays face to face with him as a few of them head toward the back of the ambulance and open the doors. The kids are unconscious.
"They're sedated." Will says. "I've already prepared them."
The man in front of Will takes something out of his jacket pocket and hands it to him. "A token of out master's power. You'll need it for what's to come."
It's something that resembles a necklace. Attached to it, is a piece of wood that has a carving on it. Around the carving, is the symbol of the dragon eating its own tail made out of metal.
"Just one last thing. Your friend. Vincent Griffith." The man mentions.
"I won't let anything stop us."

In the Abattoir, Elijah Mikaelson and Klaus Mikaelson enter the compound.
"Our home. Once the pride of our family, now a flophouse." Klaus says.
"Indeed, the mighty have fallen." Elijah agrees.
Hayley Marshall follows them into the compound as she helps her daughter, Hope Mikaelson, walk with her. Hope looks tired and weak, ready to collapse at any second.
"Where's Vincent?" Hayley asks. She lays Hope down on a love seat nearby.
Hope pants.
"Right here." Vincent says as he steps into the compound. "Kept my word. Now the only question is whether or not you guys are gonna keep yours. As soon as I'm finished healing your kid, you got to leave the city."
"Well, we're not gonna stay, are we?" Klaus asks sarcastically. "Your city has lost its charm."
Hayley steps up to Vincent. "What he means to say is that we're very grateful, just... help her and we'll leave."
"Just give us what we need, and we will do so, happily." Elijah adds.
"Excuse me." Vincent steps towards Hope.
Hope looks at Vincent with her tired eyes.
Vincent kneels down to Hope's level. "Okay..." He whispers. "Nettoyer timoun sa a. Nettoyer timoun. Nettoyer timoun sa a. Nettoyer..." Vincent touches her head.
Hope finally opens her eyes fully. The tired look gone, getting some strength back. "Mom?"
Hayley steps toward Hope and puts both her hands on each side of her head. "Oh!"
"That's it. Your little girl's purified." Vincent says.
Hayley helps Hope stand up.
"Thank you." Klaus says to Vincent.
"Now look, the only gratitude I need from any of you is seeing you leave the city." Vincent starts to leave the compound.
Hayley and Hope stand together. Hayley has her hands holding her daughter's. Hope looks into her mother's eyes and lets go. She takes a few steps towards Klaus, but a crow falls to the ground in front of her. She stops in her tracks. More crows start to fall around her, surrounding her.
Vincent turns back around and takes a few steps forward.
Hayley steps into the circle with her. She places her hands on her forearms.
"What is this?" Klaus asks Vincent.
"I don't know." Vincent replies.
Hayley starts to pant.
"Do any of you hear that?" Hope asks. "It's... whispers. Saying a name. Over and over. Kre Nah Han... Kre Nah Han..."
"Vincent, what... what is that?" Hayley asks him.
"It's a nearly forgotten dialect. It's Creole. It means the Hollow. The Hollow is coming."
