In Marcel Gerard's apartment, Freya Mikaelson and Keelin try to open a safe that was hidden behind a wall tile. Freya uses her magic to try and open it. She stand in front of the safe as she holds her out towards it and chants in a foreign language. She sighs as it doesn't work.
"I can't open it, which means this is exactly what we were looking for." Freya says.
"Well, before you blow it up with a magic bomb, just keep in mind that they're gonna know that we were here." Keelin says from her position of leaning on the wall.
"Well, do you have a better idea?" Freya turns to Keelin and walks towards her. "Because my family needs me. And I'm out of time for this."
"Go help your niece. I've got super-duper wolf hearing. I will crack the safe and if there's anything that we can use, I'll grab it."
Freya looks at her skeptically. "Keelin, if you try to run..."
"I know. You'll make me turn all hairy." Keelin interrupts. "I got the threat the first time. You just go. Help your family. I'll meet you wherever you tell me to."
Freya walks out of the apartment.

In Rousseau's bar, Elijah Mikaelson and Vincent Griffith stand in front of William Kinney who is tied to a chair. Elijah has his fingers pressed to Will's temple as he tries to enter his mind. He gets frustrated because it's not working and pulls his hand away.
"All right, someone cast a spell to block his mind against your vampire tricks, all right?" Vincent says to Elijah as he steps towards Will. "I can break this, Elijah, it's just gonna take me a little bit of time."
"That's a luxury we don't have." Elijah informs him.
"Look, Elijah, I'm not gonna let you torture him, all right? He's my friend and he's just as much of a victim as all those kids."
"You have five minutes." Elijah walks out of the room.

In the Bayou, Hayley Marshall and Marcel Gerard talk to a wolf named Lara about the graffiti found in New Orleans. Lara and Hayley stand on a dock as Marcel stands a few feet behind.
"We're not here to hurt you." Hayley says to Lara.
"You can't hurt me any more than I've already hurt myself." Lara tells her. "I didn't know this was gonna happen. I didn't know they were gonna bring children into it."
"It's okay. Just tell us who 'they' are." Hayley tries to convince Lara.
"Those that serve the Hollow. Followers of the blue light. I thought we were doing something good. Trying to take back our city." Lara informs Hayley.
"Back from what?" Hayley asks.
Lara lifts her hand holding the knife and points it at Marcel as she takes a few steps forward. "From him. From the vampires. For fifteen years we kept quiet. Watching you lord over this city like it was yours."
"Hey, I spent the last fifteen years keeping the peace..." Marcel interjects.
"It is not your city to rule." Lara exclaims. She puts her hand down. "New Orleans belongs to all of us. And the Hollow offered us the power we needed. So long as we pledged our allegiance."
"But Lara, you're a Crescent." Hayley says slightly confused. "You have the pack, you don't need this cult."
"You were gone." Lara reminds Hayley. "You chose the Original Family over your own kind. Don't you see? Our pack means nothing. You mean nothing!"
"You're right. I wasn't there." Hayley agrees. "But I have a daughter now. And, Lara, she's one of the kids. She's one of the kids that's in danger. So, please, help us help them."
Lara laughs. A maddening laugh. "You can't help them. The Hollow wants power. The kind that only comes from sacrifice. Those kids will die so it can get stronger. And it will feed. And it will rise. And we will all bow before it. The great beast." She looks at Marcel. "Even you. My only mercy is I won't be here to see it." Lara thrusts the knife into the side of her neck. She makes a choking sound and starts to fall to the ground.
Hayley rushes to her side and catches her before she falls. She supports her as she lays her down gently.
Lara takes a few heavy breaths before she stops breathing.

Back in Rousseau's, Vincent tries to gain access into Will's mind. Will screams in response to this.
"Briser... Briser ie bouchlier." Vincent chants as his hands are on Will's head. "Briser ie bouchlier. Briser ie bouchlier. Briser ie bouchlier."
"Time's up." Elijah says as he stands in the threshold of the connecting rooms.
Vincent turns to him abruptly. "Hold on, Elijah!"
"Why do you insist?"
"Because he's my friend. And because a witch told me that I'm the one that gave this thing breath." Vincent's anger at himself shows. "Now I don't know what I did to let it into this world, but I know I ain't just gonna let it take him out."
"Finish it." Elijah tells him.
Vincent turns back to Will and holds his hands towards him. "Marquer nonm sa a. Marquer nonm sa a."
Will groans and screams. He frees his arms and legs from the chair by breaking it. He pulls out the amulet with the symbol of the Hollow on it and uses it to throw Vincent up against a small cement wall in between the threshold.
Elijah takes a step toward Will to stop him.
Will then uses the amulet to throw Elijah across the room.
Vincent sits up against the cement wall and looks at Will. The pain from the impact clear on his face.
"There's no going back, Vince." Will says to him. He leaves the bar.
Elijah walks over to Vincent and sarcastically asks, "Any other wonderful ideas?"
"I tagged him with magic, so now we can trace him. Right back to the kids."
"Let's go." Elijah hold his hand out to Vincent to help him up.
Vincent takes his hand.
