~Marco's Twin Sister~

Chapter One

MARCO'S POV
It was just a normal day , right now me and star were in class when the teacher spoke. " Kids today we have a new student! Now listen up!" Once she said that a girl with long brown hair tied in a ponytail walked in. She was wearing a red dress and black leggings.

"Pst! Marco!" I heard Star whisper "Marcooo!~" I heard her again.
"What!?" I half whisper shouted. "That girl looks just like you!" She said pointing at the girl who walked into the class. "Star! It's rude to point at people!" I scolded her. "She's not looking , see! So it's okay~" well.. I suppose she is right.. "But what if she was looking!" I said ignoring the fact that she was half right. "But she's not!" Star pouted.

Just then the teacher spoke again. "Be quiet! Today we have a new student. You can introduce yourself or whatever.." the teacher said not caring. Why is that teacher so rude!?

"Oh um..." the girl said shyly "well.. my name is Maria Diaz and I'm new here. It's nice to meet you all!" She said clearly trying not to show the slight fear in her voice. Other people may not of noticed it but I did! Because I'm Marco, PHD!

Everyone gasped when she said her surname and looked at me. Star wouldn't stop poking me and eventually I gave in "what do you want!" I said agitated. "Marco~ Is she your sister!? Is she!?" Everyone looked at me and I could see Maria looked very confused as to why everyone was looking at me and asking if we were related. "No! This is the first time I've met her! Star you know that I'm an only child." Why would everyone think that? I mean she looks like me and has the same surname as me and has the same eye colour as me and well... that doesn't mean we are siblings or cousins or- whatever! Wait! Jackie is looking at me~ I wish this moment could last forever!

Suddenly the teacher spoke and everyone turned towards her. "Maria you can sit over there." She said pointing over to a seat in the second row.

Class went on as usual but I couldn't help myself from looking at that girl. Star was right , she does look just like me. The one thing I noticed was that I wasn't the only one looking at her . Star was staring at her with her eyes squinted as if trying to look at tiny writing.

~After class~

It was lunch break and I was about to go tell Star it was time for lunch but when I went to go look at her seat she wasn't there. Huh? Where is she gone! I was looking around the classroom when I found her talking with Maria. Suddenly she came up to me , Maria following behind her.

"Marco~ is it okay if Mari eats lunch with us?" Star asked giving me hopeful puppy eyes. "Sure , I mean if it's okay with you Maria?" I didn't just say yes because of Star's puppy eyes , I said yes because I wanted to get to know Maria better. She seemed like a nice person and well... I wanted to know why she looked so much like me , who knows? We could be second cousins or something.

"I don't mind at all" She said in a soft voice standing next to Star " if you like you can call me Mari..." she said looking down. Was she embarrassed?

"Sure! I'll call you Mari , then will we go?" I asked already starting to walk. "Yeah!" I could hear Star shouting and skipping along ahead of me. Mari stayed a bit behind me. She seemed sort of shy so I tried to start a little conversation with her. "How do you like it here so far?" I asked walking a bit slower so I would walk next to her. "I like it! Everyone here seems so nice! Especially you and Star~ thanks for letting me eat lunch with you two." She seemed really happy. " No problem! I'm glad that you get to eat lunch with us. Wait.. I don't think I've told you my name , have I?" I said looking at her. "Oh no you didn't but Star mentioned it a lot so I'm assuming your name is Marco?" She asked trying not to touch the lines on the floor while walking. I guess Star is not the only childish one around! " Yeah it is. Oh! We're here"

We walked into the cafeteria and Star , Mari and I went to the lunch line to get our lunch. "Wait um.. Star , Marco? Is it okay if I just sit at the table? I already brought my own lunch so..." "oh! Sure~ me and Marco will be there in just a minute!" Star said gleefully waving her wand about and spinning around. Mari giggled at Star and started walking over to the seats still trying not to touch the lines on the floor.

After me and Star got our lunch we went and sat at the lunch table. Mari was there eating a sandwich with cucumber and butter , it didn't look like it would be that filling so I decided to offer her some of my lunch. "Hey Mari?" "Weah?" Mari said her mouth full from taking a bite of her sandwich "I'm so sorry!" She apologised swallowing the bit of the sandwich she had bitten. "It's alright! That sandwich doesn't look very filling , do you want my pudding?" I asked holding out my pudding to her. "Huh!? Oh no! It's alright , it's my fault for not packing a big lunch. You can keep your pudding I'm fine , really." "You sure?" I asked. She seemed like she wanted it but I didn't want to force her. "Super duper sure with a cherry on top!" She confirmed smiling at me.

"Hey Marcoooo!~" Star said poking me. "Can I have your pudding?" She asked stary eyed staring at my pudding. "Oh , sure!" I agreed giving it to her , she practically devoured it.

"Mari~!" Star said cheerily . "Yeah?" She said looking at star. "It's time to find out if you and Marco are brother and sister!" What was she thinking! Of course we aren't. We are both the same age which means we would have to be twins and I think my parents would of told me if I had a twin. I was about to protest when Mari spoke. "Oh okay! That sounds fun!" Wait? She wants to... well I can't stop it now I guess.

"Marco you ask Mari a question!" Star pointed at me and Mari's gaze turned towards me. "Well... what's your family like?" Suddenly Mari's expression changed. She looked kind of sad , that must be a touchy subject for her. "Hey are you alright?" Star asked putting a hand on her shoulder "You don't have to answer if you don't want to." I said looking at her. I wonder why her mood just suddenly changed. "No it's alright!" She half heartedly smiled and Star took her hand off of her shoulder. "Well you see... I don't actually know who my parents are. I live at an orphanage . The only thing I know about my mother and father is that their surname is Diaz and that's about it..." she explained sighing. "That means you and Marco could be brother and sister!!!" Star said jumping off the seat and running around excitedly. Some people stared at her but others were used to her running around like a goof ball. "I suppose we could be." Mari smiled genuinely this time and giggled at stars reaction "I'm glad you guys didn't just sympathise for me! You just acted casually and that makes me really happy!" She laughed and got up and started running around with Star.

-Time skip to After school-

I went to my locker and put my books inside then went to go find Star. She was talking to Mari outside the school. "Do you want to come to Mine and Marco's house!?" Star asked jumping up and down and accidentally shooting someone with mini narwhals "oops..." so I guess Star had already told her she is a magical princess from Mewni. "You and Marco live in the same house?" Mari asked. I walked up to them and greeted them "Hey Mari! Hey Star!" "Hiya Marco!" Star and Mari both said in sync . "Yeah Star is staying in my house as a foreign exchange student." I said answering Mari's question. "Oh okay!" She said smiling "So can youuu!?!?!" Star asked again waiting for an answer. "I'm sorry , I can't. I have to go home.. maybe sometime during the weekend?" She said sort of disappointed. She clearly wanted to go. "Oki Doki!!! We'll see you tomorrow!"

MARIA'S POV
I sort of wish Marco was my brother... it would be kind of cool! He seems really nice and so does Star! I doubt we are though. It's not a big deal having the same second name as someone , in my old school there were a bunch of people who had the same second name as someone in the school except they didn't look alike.... oh well!

Did you like the story? I hope you did. I don't see many or any fanfictions about Marco having a sister so I decided to write one! I had this idea for a while now and I finally decided to write about it!

I know some people reading this ship Tomstar or Mackie or someone else so I have decided to do no Star x anyone or Marco x anyone in this because it wouldn't be fare. Personally I ship Starco. STARCO FOR THE WIN!!!! PLEASE BE CANNON!!!! But for the people who don't it's just not fare. I will probably be making Maria fall in love with someone , Tom for instance but I'm not sure yet.
