I ran through the hallway dodging students left and right. I quickly ducked into a corridor as I turned my head slightly to see if they were still following me. I caught sight of the bright yellow bandana making me quicken my pace as I turned back around. I almost ran into Finn who caught me before I collided with him or the wall. He looked at me confused before opening his mouth as if he were going to say something, but I caught sight of the yellow bandana again making me give Finn an apologetic look.

"Gotta blast," I said before quickly turning and continuing down the corridor. I heard a bunch of feet pounding against the ground making me quicken my pace. My heartbeat was quick trying to keep up with my legs as I ran.

"Watch out!" I slid just in time to slide underneath a long table that some students were carrying.   I got back up to my feet spinning around to find my chasers running down the hall a few feet away from me on the other side of the table. I smirked at them before turning on my heel and running through the auditorium doors. I quickly ran to the heavy black doors backstage swinging them open and stepping inside. I climbed the metal stairs two at a time until I reached another level with two doors on opposite walls. I walked quickly to the door at my left before opening it quietly. I stepped out onto the platform glancing down through the slots of the metal bars. I walked quietly until I was a safe distance from the door I had just come through. I heard the auditorium doors open making me quiet my breathing. I watched from my spot as a silhouette entered my view below me. Thank God for catwalks. I watched as more figures joined the silhouette in the middle of the auditorium. They glanced around a bit before exiting the auditorium altogether. I let out the breath I didn't even realize I was holding. Stupid football games, stupid opposing team, stupid national champion games. I stood up from my crouched position dusting off my Cheerios skirt and straightening it out before making my way down from the catwalk. I opened the double black doors slightly peaking out to make sure that they were gone before stepping out completely.

"That was close," I muttered trying to catch my breath. I began walking to the auditorium doors where I would head back to the gym for Cheerios practice.

"I wouldn't say that just yet," A deep voice said making my breathing hitch. My eyes widened as I turned around to find Mr. Shue standing there with his arms crossed over his chest and a daring look on his face. "Would you like to explain to me why you were running around the school?"

"I-I- Uh,...." I was at a loss for words, I couldn't explain myself because then he would know. "We were playing tag?" Mr. Shue gave me a doubtful look making me frown. "Well, it was worth a shot."

"Sabrina, tell me the reason that you were running around the school or I will have to resort to going to Principal Figgins." Mr. Shue said making me swallow hard. I looked down at my feet debating on whether or not I should tell him or make up some sob story. "You can trust me, Sabrina." I looked up to find Mr. Shue looking at me concerned, no trace of his stone demeanor anywhere.

"I was running from kids that go to my old school," I explained with a sigh, I might as well tell him everything. "They aren't too happy that I left and we've always had issues with each other." Mr. Shue looked at me confused making me groan, great now I have to tell him. "We were apart of opposing gangs, now that I'm gone my gang was taken over by a new leader and our rivals aren't exactly happy that I got out of the gang business alive."

"Wow, I would've never guessed that you were a part of that crowd. I mean, yeah sure you're covered head to toe in tattoos, but you're a nice girl." Mr. Shue said looking shocked making me laugh humorlessly.

"Welcome to the life of a girl in the South side of Chicago," I said lifting my Cheerios top a bit to show the side of my ribs where a cursive M sat over a lighter colored graffiti word that read 'Misfits'. "If you didn't want to be the prey you needed to become the predator. I didn't let my gang attack anyone, we were more of the protectors of Bridge Port. You just need to look the part of an attacker to avoid being attacked." Mr. Shue looked flabbergasted making me shift around uncomfortably as I put my top back down.

"Wait, that doesn't explain your song in Glee club. I was going to ask you about that today." Mr. Shue said making me bite the inside of my cheek. I took a deep breath befpre giving away my biggest secret.

"I have throat cancer."
