He used to be someone that you admired. Everyone day, the ambience of his gleaming smile would combat all beautiful things as his unique but stunning character had nature do his bidding, quite literally - your stubborn garden never flourished until he took the time to attend to them, and in the span of several weeks, they blossomed proudly, just for him.

Just for him, you would sacrifice time; just for him, you would face any number of impossible challenges; just for him, you would travel to the centre of the earth; just for him, you would do anything and everything.

Just for him: Kim Taehyung.

There was a time where he was concerned for everyone and gave remained considerate of anything and everything.

Now, he's nothing like that, and it's all because of her.

Taehyung is the sun, the only star big and bright enough to be seen during the day, emitting endless amounts of warmth and light for all living things whereas she was the moon, a presence that had its own gravitational pull on waves, cold and translucent as it takes the sun's brightness to make label it's own. In comparison to both figures, you're next to nothing, all that you are is a minuscule star, a mere pinprick of light in the night sky believed to have the power in granting wishes no matter how little you were. As unfortunate as it may be, the granting of wishes is a trait that has never been accomplished.

The time when the moon met the sun was a day the little star (ironically) wished had never happened, simply because, from then onwards, she was helpless in stopping the dishonourable moon from using the oblivious sun's element for her own benefit.

Taehyung only ever saw the good in people and that was his major flaw. If only he knew back then, he wouldn't be where he is today.

Using his status as the most popular guy in school, she captured the attention of the eyes that she felt was truly worthy of being only on her. Soon enough, she wasn't only meddling with one or two hearts, but three. The unlucky third was yours as everything she did to Taehyung directly affected you.

At first, their barely blossoming relationship showed true promise, with consistent sharing of affectionate gestures (hugs and kisses, the like) as well as fairly wasted time on each other.

Now, whenever Taehyung - the unmindful sun - asked - the complacent moon - for an embrace, her only response is: "I don't do hugs". It tore him up, and it saddened you to see him as such. She, however, felt no remorse. Of course not, she already had another man after all, but Taehyung was too blinded by love to see her unethical ways.

You (the despairing star) did your best to have him face the truth but it was no use; he'd just brush you aside as if your years of strong friendship meant nothing.

Love is the fire that keeps your little body glowing in the distance for him, waiting for your blind sun to notice, and to have him dismiss you so casually shatters the very little hope you have left.

Deep inside, there's a strong desire for having things revert back to how they used to be, back when he kept you close, back when he was always there - a craving stemming from the realisation that he is no longer beside you.

A memory...

"Don't shut me out!" he once called in despair, caring and truly saddened by your silence towards him. It was such a childish reason but he was wholeheartedly regretful and so you forgave him without a second thought.

Why isn't he so attentive now?

Why is he no longer looking towards you?

"I won't let you get hurt." was his promise to you and the sincerity in his eyes made you believe him, especially because he always never broke a promise made for you. In spite of that, this is an oath that he is failing to fulfil.

How can he not see that your hope was dwindling?

How can he not see your light fading?

How can he not see that stars will eventually die?

You had left him alone as it was clear from his harsh words and strong defiance that he had already chosen who he loved, more than anything, and it wasn't you...so what's the point?

Distancing yourself from the blind sun, who was suffering under the uncaring moon, you grew smaller and smaller until, eventually, the very little light you had left snuffed out - a victim of heartbreak and lost hope - not knowing that if you stayed a little longer, hoped a little more and listened to a little closer, you would've seen that your wish came true.

Too little too late, the sun finally saw the light, just as the little speck of hope in the distance vanished.

The star that was made for him was nowhere to be seen, trampled and demising from neglect.
