A/N: This was a really impromptu drabble? Oneshot? thing...I don't even know what this is but it came to mind while I was looking out my window tonight and remembered walking home in the dark. Please stay safe and try to avoid walking home alone, okay? I don't want my lovely dollies in danger. But yeah! that was the inspiration for this, I hope you like it and I'm still working on my writing so please bear with me going through this never-ending learning process!

Sighing, you watch as your warm breath forms a momentary cloud in front of you. It's a misty apricot smoke, tinged by the high-pressure sodium street lamp lighting your path. For a moment, you tried to enjoy the silence, subsequent of your drawn-out exhalation but it only made your skin crawl as you suddenly became aware of the set of footsteps that abruptly stopped behind you. It was poorly timed to your steps, hence why you were able to pick up on it. This was dangerous, you knew no self-defence, were alone and vulnerable to harassment.

Your body wasn't trained for defence but your mind was, for that reason, you walked yourself through what your father always advised you to do in situations like this.

Trying to play your suspicions off and act nonchalant, you continue walking with your senses hyperaware of everything; instantly able to note that the steps behind you were quick and eager to follow suit. It would be reckless for you to go straight home because then this unknown person would know where you live. Instead, you direct yourself towards a nearby cluster of shops and restaurants.

You didn't want to pick up your phone despite your fingers itching to grasp onto the said device. If you started calling for someone, your stalker might pounce in fear of you calling for help. The main objective was to keep him from knowing that you were cognisant of his predatory behaviour.

In an attempt to search for a safe group of people to find safety in, you lift your gaze and quickly spot a group of seven tall males laughing up a storm as they head towards the entrance of a modern, western-style restaurant. They're perfect.

"Hey guys!" you shout in greeting, running up to the group, biting back a grimace at the bizarre look they flash your approaching figure.

"Hey, uh-" you can tell that he's about to question your greeting but was never given the chance to as you run into his arms. In shock, he, naturally, doesn't return the embrace but upon seeing the plea in your eyes, he allows you to step into the restaurant first as his inquisitive group of friends closely follow. They don't pay attention to the shadow-draped man behind you; too perplexed by your odd behaviour and deem him as a harmless faceless man in the crowd.

"Alright, what are you up to?" the only grumpy-looking fellow questions, regarding you with the most judgemental gaze possible. Unfortunately, the restaurant's front was just a wall of windows and so the stranger could still look in and see you. Playing the act further, you flash another brief look of help before smiling.

"I promise that I will explain everything, just please act normal..." your anxious behaviour and fidgety hands reassure him enough to wait until you're all finally seated at a table.

"Umm..." you hum nervously, taking the chance to glance outside and almost shriek in fright when your gaze connects with the piercing stare of your stalker.

"Out with it then," the blonde grump demands.

"I'm sorry..." you exhale, beginning to explain, "I didn't mean to ruin your night but the man outside has been following me during my walk home and I just got scared."

Alarm flashes across their faces, "Jungkook, can you look up and see if there's a man outside?" the tall male whispers, flashing you a dimpled smile of comfort.

"She's telling the truth hyung," their doe-eyed friend confirms as he turns to you with a face of worry.

"I'm sorry for ruining your night..." you murmur, ashamed of your actions but nerves still on high alert as your stalker stares on at you from your peripheral.

"It's no trouble at all, I'm just sorry this happened to you," the broad-shouldered man on your right gives you a look of sympathy, slowly easing the tension in your shoulders with his comforting words. Although you were grateful for his consolation, the loss of tension quickly has you realising that you were surrounded by the most beautiful men you had ever seen in your life. It makes you nervous enough to splutter out an apology to the one you had hugged outside in a fleeting attempt of distracting yourself.

"Don't worry about it, I understand you needed to pull off a good enough show to fool that harasser. My name's Taehyung, by the way,"

"Thank you for understanding and it's nice to meet you, all of you. My name is (Y/N)," around the table everyone takes a turn at introducing themselves. The once ill-tempered man was Yoongi; the tall, dimpled hunk was Namjoon; the doe-eyed flower boy was Jungkook; the one with the broad shoulders was Seokjin; the one sitting right beside Taehyung, giving you the most reassuring smile was Hoseok and the most adorable looking male on Jungkook's left was Jimin.

"He's not leaving..." you whimper in fright halfway through your meal. The boys were a pleasant group to chat to and befriend, they were almost successful in getting your mind off your entire situation but all you had to do was look up and he would still be there. It's outrageous to think that he was willing to wait this long just for a chance to grab at you.

"It's alright," Yoongi reassures, a soft expression coming over his face opposite to his once crabby exterior, "we'll keep you safe," you flush at his considerate words, "and I've already called the police so..."

"Wha-" you gape as blue and red lights illuminate the street outside and the stranger was quickly caught by the authority.

That night you learn the very distinct difference between two types of strangers, one is unpleasant with ill intent and the other is but the greatest friend you'll ever meet.
