Chapter 5:

Juliette POV:

“Jules! I’m off to do a sound-check, see ya later!” Les shouted before I heard the door close. I was busy curling my hair after choosing my outfit which consisted of dark blue skinny jeans, white flowy top and nude pumps. “well then, bye” I mumbled to myself and giggled as I saw she was late for the sound-check and had rushed so quickly out the door, that I hadn’t even had the chance to say goodbye. She was probably making sure she looked extra sexy for Kej. That girl. Got to love her though. I gathered my things and headed to the café. Sure enough when I got there, there were people already filling tables, ordering drinks and food. I found Caron standing behind the counter and joined her “Caron!” I hugged her and when we let go I looked around “are you sure you don’t need an extra waiter? Looks quite busy tonight” she shook her head and put her hands up “no, this is your night off, so don’t you-” she got cut off by Josh “Hi girl!” he hugged and kiss me on my cheek and then turned to Caron “Car, darling, we seem to have a seating sitch” he said hurriedly looking to the door where more people were already gathering. She blew out a breath “I’m getting too old for this” she put her hand on her head. I brought her a chair and sat her down, taking off her apron. “I’ve got this” I said while putting on her apron. She tried to get up and stop me, but I remained stubborn and sat her back down. “Caron, I’ve got this” I said looking her in her eyes “Just you relax and have a drink” I handed her a glass of coke that Josh had poured “and enjoy the show”. With that I turned to the waiters and started barking out instructions and within 30 minutes everyone could be seated. It was about another 10 minutes before the band came out to play and I was already exhausted, in between trying to calm the increasing crowd down, moving tables and getting extra chairs inside with people still ordering food and drinks. I decided to go outback for a breather. There were two tables with about 5 chairs each as this was where the employees would normally sit on their breaks. I threw myself into one of the chairs, tied my hair back into a high ponytail and took of my shoes. Aahhhh… freedom. I moved my shoulders back and forth trying to relax when suddenly the door opened and there stood Josh jumping up and down like someone who needed the toilet “Jules! Come on, you’re going to miss the band!” and with that I jump up, head back inside and stand behind the counter where Caron, Josh and the rest of the employees are standing. The band comes up and immediately my eyes are drawn to Danté and I can’t help but stare at how gorgeous he looks in his black jeans, white t-shirt that shows off his perfect biceps and his black leather jacket. I notice as he looks around, I wonder what his looking for when suddenly our eyes meet , he smiles and those cute dimples appear. I then look down blushing a bit and Caron notices this, she notices everything. “Seems like a nice boy” she smiles at me, I look back up and he winks at me before focusing back on his kit and making sure everything’s in order.

Leslie then steps to the front and I scream my lungs out “whoohooo!” and then Josh and I scream together as everything gets silent “We love you Leslie” and she , being my adorable best friend looks at us and giggles “I love you too guys”. She then looks back to the audience and addresses them “Good evening ladies and gentlemen, we are the Dynamix. I hope ya’ll enjoy and feel free to get up and move those feet!” and as she speaks that last word the guitar starts and they open with Sing A Song by earth, wind and fire. Both Caron and I love this song and we start dancing along and soon after that everyone dances along and the vibe is amazing.
