Cats and Owls,
Two children of the night.
They say the dark needs light, But when you live in the shadows,
The sun hurts your eyes.
Cats run around,
While Owls sit and watch.
She earned her stripes.
And on her forehead,
She proundly sports her crown. She has seen the light.
He has wings,
But he never flys.
With his deep voice,
He never sings,
He only cries.
Poor lonely lowly owl.
He wonders how he caught her shimmering eyes.
He wants to show her the infinite sky with its twinkling little starts. And then maybe,
Just maybe,
He too could see the light. He has a heavy heart,
She has a bright smile.
He saw it all,
And she was the most stunning sight.
His soul was torn,
And her paws had the healing touch.
Cats and Owls,
Two children of the night.
One saw the light,
One stayed trapped in the dark. Yes they fell inlove,
But together,
Could they hope to build a life?
