You sat in the front seat of Richie's car as soft music flowed out of the radio. There were no cars on the road at all, peaceful.
You started out at the sky as small stars started to pop out. It made you smile.
Richie tried to keep his eyes on the road but it was getting hard for him, he just wanted to look at you.
You two weren't dating, but you were best friends with hidden feelings. Cliche.
You stuck your arm out the window, letting it flow up and down in the breeze. A song you liked but didn't know all the words to started to flow from the speakers. Your lips curled up as the wind blew your hair back and you closed your eyes, enjoying tonight. Richie turned the radio up slightly, glancing over at you out of the corner of his eye. He wanted to kiss you. A lot. But not yet. You looked too peaceful.
After a few minutes, when that song was over, another came on, one you knew really well. You quickly sat up and you shared a glance with Richie.
You started to sing along to the lyrics, you might not have been the best singer but Richie still thought you were great.
After your mini performance, a slow, soft song came on. You went back to your previous position, your hand out the window, looking at the stars.
Richie couldn't help it, he stopped the car. This took you by surprise so you looked over at him, he was already staring at you. "What is it?" You asked, furrowing your brows.
Richie leaned over and pressed his lips to yours. Your eyes went wide as he did this but after a few seconds you returned the kiss. You sat there kissing each other for a minutes before pulling away and staring at each other. That was the start of something beautiful.
