You were determined to get Eddie's mom to like you. She still didn't like you and you didn't necessarily know why. Maybe it was because you were taking her son away from her but you didn't care, you loved him.
Eddie's mother was in the kitchen baking today, so Eddie asked his mother if you could come over and help.
She wasn't overjoyed but she agreed anyways since she could use a helping hand and it's not like Eddie could help very much.
You arrived at his house after about  five minutes, knocking on the door. Eddie quickly stood up from his seat in the kitchen and opened the door for you. You both exchanged a smile, a little nervous to do anything other then that with his mom around.
You pulled your backpack and coat off, Eddie taking them and bringing them to his room. You waited in the entrance of the house for him to get back since you were nervous about going into the kitchen. He came back a few seconds later and lead you into the kitchen.
His mother stopped what she was doing completely and turned around. "Hi..." You greeted, rubbing the back of your neck gently. "You can start on the cookies, the recipe is on the counter over there. If you need to find anything, ask Eddie," She instructed, turning around and returning to what she was doing.
You and Eddie shared a glance before you walked over to where she had directed you. You picked up the recipe, read it over, and went back to eddie who told you were everything was.
After gathering all of your ingredients, you started working. You put all the ingredients you needed in a bowl before stirring them together.
Later, after you put the cookies in the oven, you sat down next to Eddie at the small kitchen table. You both gave each other a small smile. "Would you like me to do anything else?" You asked Eddie's mom. "No, no, it's okay," She spoke, shaking her head. She brushed her hands off and turned around.
"When the cookies are done, you can both have one," She told you, walking out of the kitchen to her room. You looked over at Eddie and he looked back at you, he had his eyebrows raised. "Well..." You started, brushing your hair out of your face.
Eddie was staring at you. "What?" You asked him. He leaned over and he put a hand on your cheek, brushing something, probably flour, off your face. He gave you a loving smile and he leaned over, kissing your forehead gently. You gave him a loving smile back, lacing your fingers with his.
You didn't notice Eddie's mother staring at the two of you and tears pricking her eyes. You made her son happy...
