“Wait you live at the orphanage?” Michael asked sounding very surprised.
“Yeah…” I said looking at the ground suddenly very insecure.
“Oh, well how far away is that?” Luke asked.
“Like seven blocks from here.” I replied.
“Oh did you take a bus here?” Calum asked.
“No we walked, we do it all the time it usually only takes like twenty to twenty-five minutes if we speed walk.” I said matter of factly.
“Well I don’t think you should be doing any walking on your ankle until we get it checked out we can give you a ride.” Michael said as he picked me up so Luke and Calum were no longer supporting me and I was being carried off bridal style.
“Hey! Come back here!” I think the voice belonged to Luke.
“Dude! You can’t steal Kaylee!” That was defiantly Ashton.
“Watch me!” Michael yelled over his shoulder as we exited the mall and entered a black SUV. He put me down and we both burst out laughing he looked out the window and saw the other boys running towards the car and crawled to the front and hit the lock button. He climbed back to his seat across from me and just as he was about to say something we heard a click and the doors were unlocked we looked to the front where Calum had his arm in the fully opened window.
“Oops I forgot to close that.” He said as he awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck.
I rolled my eyes and the rest of the boys climbed in and we drove to the orphanage. Once we were there Michael went to carry me to the orphanage but Luke grabbed me instead.
“We don’t want you to steal her again.” Luke said sticking his tongue out at Michael as we walked up the wooden porch steps. They are really creaky and old, me and Molly bet they will break when someone walks up them. We got to the door and I wiggled out of Lukes arms and opened the door. I slung my arms around Luke and Ashton’s shoulders and walked into the kitchen where Ms.Rebecca was chopping up carrots.
“Um…Ms.Rebecca, I think I broke my ankle.” I said awkwardly I am a very awkward person and when someone else feels awkward it’s like it radiates off of them and on to me. Then everyone is awkward.
“You clumsy little bra- oh Kaylee dear you didn’t tell me you brought company.” She said sounding very bipolar with the sudden mood change.
“Oh yeah sorry.” I said looking at the floor.
“Well come on you boys can come with if you would like, otherwise you can just go.” She said and of course the boys followed behind her. We got into the examination room and Ms.Rebecca looked at it and decided it was not broken just sprained. Then she told me to go and get Emmy and tell her that she needed to help her with dinner.
Ashton’s POV
“Guys I think we should adopt her.” I whispered to the boys as we followed the bi-I mean Lovely lady Ms.Becca to the examination room.
“I was just thinking the same thing.” Luke replied.
“Yeah.” Calum agreed.
“So then it’s settled.” I said and the next thing I know Kaylee is running past us we turned to Ms.Rebecca and told her.
Kaylee’s POV:
I walked well limped down the stairs and back to the kitchen where I saw the boys signing papers they turned around and looked at me with huge smiles.
“Ok what’s going on?” I asked slowly backing up wondering what they had going on up in those pretty little heads of theirs.
“Well…we just adopted you! Well Ashton did but you get to live with us!” Calum yelled and I was knocked to the ground in hugs. I already know that my life is about to be turned upside down.
