Next Saturday

Sammie's POV

"Can you answer the phone Harry?" Louis yelled from his room. I was threw on my Manchester jersey and walked out of his bathroom.

"You ready to go babe?" He asked me.

"Yeah, just a second I have to go talk to Harry." Walking out into the living room I saw Harry on the phone. He hung up and then faced me.

"Who was on the phone?" I asked him.

"Some kid named Jackson. He wanted to talk to you, but I said you were busy. Who is he?"

"He's my best friend from home."

"Why was he calling you all of a sudden?"

"Because of my dad. I was supposed to go home weeks ago but I didn't. I'm staying here as long as I can."

"You should have left."

"Excuse me?!"

"You should have left, for your own good."

"My own good? Everything I've ever wanted in life is here! Louis is my everything."

"I know, but I just think that you'd be better off back home."

"Why?"

"Because you can't get hurt."

"No, that's crap Harry, and you know it. You just don't want to see me grow up. You still see me as a little kid. Well you know what Harry, I'm not six years old anymore. I'm eighteen. I think the one who needs to grow up, is you."

Louis walked out of his room, and I walked over to him. Without saying a word, I took his hand and led him outside.

....

Harry's POV

"Hello?... Hi Mr. Conrad... No she's not here right now... she's at a soccer game with her boyfriend...Louis...Yeah he's famous...I'm sorry...I'll tell her that you wanted to talk...Okay, bye."

This was bad, Sam's dad wanted her home-now. The truth was I was conflicted. I had just told her to leave, but I also didn't want her to go. What was I going to do?

....

Sammie's POV

I was pretty sure I had gone deaf from all of the yelling that was going on at the game. I thought I was loud, but Louis sounded like he had an amplifier on his lungs. As the game progressed, I kept looking over at Louis. He seemed to be getting more nervous.

Squeezing his hand I asked him, "Are you okay?"

"What? Oh, yeah I'm fine."

"You sure, you seem a little skittish Lou."

"Yeah, I'm fine. I'm just waiting for half-time."

"Why, what's at half-time?" I asked, confused.

"A surprise."

"Oh, so mysterious. That's just one of the many things I love about you Tomlinson," I said kissing him on the cheek.

....

Louis' POV

My heart was racing so fast, half-time couldn't come fast enough. I was so nervous and afraid of what Sammie would say. My hands were shaking so badly as the buzzer sounded.

"Oh the kiss-cam! I love this part!" Sammie squealed next to me.

My mind was blurred as I watched the different couples were caught on screen. Then I watched Sammie's reaction as the screen changed. I hoped this worked. It had to, it just had to.

....

Sammie's POV

After the kiss-cam was over, the screen changed. It read 'A Special Shoutout to...'. I love it when people do these random shoutouts, they're so sweet. As the screen changed once more, I became even more confused when it said, 'Sammie Conrad, turn around!' Me?! The message was for me!

"Louis did you know-" As I turned to ask Louis if he knew about this I couldn't find him. But then when I looked behind me, there he was. "Louis-?" But then I stopped myself. Louis slowly got down on one knee. Pulling a box out of his coat pocket, he opened it. Inside, was the most beautiful ring I had ever seen.

"Samantha Kate Conrad, you are the best thing that has ever happened to me. When I met you, I wasn't fully aware of how lost I really was. You found me. When I'm with you, I'm a better person. I love you with all my heart. I know we haven't known each other very long, but it feels like a-"

"Lifetime," I said finishing his sentence.

"Sammie, will you marry me?"

Tears began falling from my eyes, but they weren't tears of sadness. I couldn't believe what I was hearing, Louis was really asking me to marry him!

"Yes!" I managed to choke out. I ran over to him and wrapped my arms around him. He slid the ring on my finger, before picking me up and spinning me around. As he set me down, my phone began to buzz. It was a call from Harry.

"Hello?...Wait what?!...My dad?!...Well um...Okay I'll be home in a few."

"What's wrong?" Louis asked me.

Grabbing his hand I said, "Come on, we have to go home."

Walking out to the car, Louis drove us home. The entire time, he didn't let go of my hand. With the ring still on my finger, I walked inside the house. I gripped Louis' hand tighter. I didn't want this to be the end of us.
