I walk into the hotel and find the same girl that was there a few days ago. I think about what I should say before walking up to her. "Hello, I was in room 212 I believe and I forgot my phone in there. Can I go back and check please?" I ask her.

She looks at me like a crazy person but then sighs. "Fine, you can check, but I highly doubt it's still going to be there. If it isn't then you can check the lost and found, it's near the bathroom." She tells me.

She hands me the room key and goes back to her phone. I thank her and then walk to room 212. I remember that I have to go upstairs to find the room and when I do I see the door is restored. There's no sign of it being broken down, the lab must have wanted no evidence that took place, but I wonder who returned the key.

I hold the key with a tighter grip and leaves a mark on my palm. I let it loose for a second and turn the key to enter the room. My backpack isn't against the wall or anywhere in sight. I walk to the bathroom and check there and it's empty. I check under the bed and only the picture of Avery and I is there. I stretch my arm so I can reach it but it is too far out for me to get it.

I try a different angle and this time I'm able to pick it up. I fold the picture and carefully put it in my pocket. I check the drawers and it's empty. The only trace that I've been here was the picture. I decided to try the lost and found to see if the cleaning crew put it there. I walk out of the room and lock the door.

I look side to side for the bathroom. When I don't see it, I head downstairs and find it after looking side to side. I walk towards it and there's a door between the two restrooms. It says 'lost and found' I open the door and there are shelves full of random things. I rummage through the mess in hopes of finding my backpack.

My backpack isn't anywhere in the closet and I decide to give up. I'll just go back to David's house, I don't think they'll let me see the security videos to find out if anyone took it. I exit the closet and close the door behind me. I walk back to the front desk and set the keys down. "Thank you again for letting me look," I tell her.

She nods. "But just out of curiosity, do you remember who had returned the keys to the room?" I ask her. She keeps texting on her phone. "It was a man and he said that he was your father, I didn't question it and no one had that room after you." She informs me.

"Ok, well bye now," I said. I walk out of the motel and my hands are trembling a little, I close them into fists. It couldn't have been my father that returned the key. It could have been my said 'uncle' pretending to be him. I still don't believe that the scientist who injected me with the 'medicine' is my 'uncle'.

Even if that crazy psycho is my uncle, I don't want to be near him ever again. I walk to David's house when I enter David and Monica are at the kitchen table arguing. "Seriously!? I have no idea how your parents deal with you and your picky meal plan!" Monica says angrily to David.

"They don't have to deal with anything! My meal plan is healthy and reasonable!" David argued. I had closed the door a bit loud to see if they would notice me, however, they just continued arguing. "Reasonable?? REASONABLE!! If you had a pet, they would rather run away than deal with your reasonable diet!" Monica shouts sarcastically.

David frowns. "For your information, if I did decide to get a pet. I would make sure that they would survive on a healthy diet." David says. Monica growls a little. David crosses his arms and stands his ground, while I walk towards them.

"Hey, Melissa. How was sleeping on the couch? I hope it felt better than it looked." He says while having a glaring contest with Monica. I'm surprised that he even noticed that I was here, but I'm glad that he didn't question where I was. "It was okay. Thank you for the blanket, I think it made it feel more comfortable." I tell him.

He looks away from his glaring contest and smiles at me as if saying "your welcome" or "it was no problem". Monica smiles triumphantly as David looked away. "Okay now that Melissa is here, let's talk about what's going to happen now," Monica says.

"I went back to my house and in my parents' room, there was a key on their desk, so being curious, I took it and recognized it as a key that can open the lab doors." She holds out a golden key.

"We go to the lab and enter through the back door to avoid a confrontation. I'll find my parents so I can casually ask, why they left so abruptly. You and David will try to find your parents inside the laboratory."

"I'm seventy percent sure that they will be in the laboratory near the back so it won't take long. If they aren't near the back then you guys can just check each lab carefully." Monica explains casually.

"Ok, so when will we go to the lab?" I ask. Monica smiles and twirls the key on a string. "In about twenty minutes. There's a specific time we need to be there or else there'll be alarms and that'll cause a commotion. So be ready in ten minutes, then we'll head towards the lab" Monica says cheerfully.

She heads to the front door. "I'll be waiting outside since I'm already ready." She tells us. She leaves the house and David is already heading towards the bathroom. I see a picture hanging on the wall that reminds me of the picture at the park.

I hold my stomach as I remember the great pain, I had felt. But the memory or the dream that I had when I passed out, I need to know more about it and the only way I'll find out more is if I ask David or Monica.

I don't remember Monica being in that memory but she was angry at me when I met her a few days ago, which means she also knows what happened. Also, I'm pretty sure David and Monica were talking about it at the park when I was going to meet David.

David comes back from the bathroom and clears his throat as I'm looking at a flower pot nearby absently. I look up at him. "I'll also be waiting outside if you need me or something?" He tells me. I nod and he begins to leave. I open my mouth to ask the question that is on my mind but no words come out. I close my mouth and realize that I'm afraid to know the truth.

The sound of a door closes snaps me out of my trance and I reach out for the flower nearby. I'm afraid. I'm fourteen and turning fifteen in a couple of weeks. I could possibly be dying from this medicine that was injected inside of me and I haven't had any 'episode' other than the time I escaped from that room. My memories are also getting foggy and I'm getting confused. I shake my head and pull my hand away from the flower.

"I need to find my parents. I need to know the truth, no matter what." I whisper to myself. I have a new resolve and I walk towards the door. It's time to find my parents and hopefully, they'll have the answers I'm looking for. I open the door and head outside, closing the door behind me.

Monica is sitting on the porch and David is standing nearby waiting. Monica looks up first and smiles. "Ready?" She asks. I take a deep breath and smile back. "Ready," I said with confidence. She stands up. "Ok, let's go then." She says while walking away from the house with David nearby. I follow them. I'm finally going to get some answers very soon.
