Chapter 10-Switzerland
"Guys, can you believe its finally December?" Eleanor squealed. Yes, indeed. I couldn't believe it was finally mid-December, so Eleanor here might have been a little too late with the excitement part.
"You could've put that squealing part for the first of December," Anne muttered sarcastically. "Not when its the last day of classes."
Our conversation continued to some hilarious freshmen memories, such as what happened at the field, last year's intramurals. Ahh, freshman year could've been fun if only the gossip girls didn't slam an axe onto it. Ha, and they say the first year is always the memorable one. What's for me to remember? The people who hated me just for one tiny mistake? The people who would stop at nothing to make you feel guilty 24/7? I don't know about you guys, but freshman year is something I would not like to bring back up, thank you very much.
"So, Marcia," Eleanor said to me. "Are you attending this year's Christmas party?"
I shook my head. "Sorry, Ellie. But my brother and I are going to Switzerland for Christmas."
Eleanor and Anne chuckled. "Switzerland?!" Anne laughed. "What the hell are you gonna do at Switzerland?"
"My cousin Harriet invited us," I replied. "It's kinda hard to say no."
"Harriet?"
"Harriet Carli."
"Wait, the singer?!" Eleanor said in shock. Yes, the Harriet Carli was my cousin, amd she invited us to her small resthouse in Switzerland. She said it gets pretty lonely there.
"Too bad," Eleanor frowned. "We're going to some pool this year, right Anne?" Anne nodded in reply.
I just shrugged in reply. I wasn't really a social person anyways. Besides, its always the same thing. I'll still always be waiting for the moment the party is over. I'm not gonna enjoy anyway, so what's the use spending money on something you'll eventually regret?
We were interrupted by our exam proctor, envelopes in his hand. Damn, we were too engrossed in our conversation that we forgot to study for our next exam! We're screwed! We're completely and utterly screwed.

After exams, I quickly went home to double check my things. My gift for Harriet was there. My clothes, linens and other crap were all set, and my PSP was in my carry-on as well.
I was ready.
Kristopher picked me up fifteen minutes later. He always had this weird fear of being left behind by a flight. I don't know where that came from.
We had small talk. We talked about our schools, my ambitions, his girlfriend. Ha, apparently Malibu's Playboy got himself a girlfriend. That, I would say is a freaking miracle!
"So..." I teased as we headed for Pre-Departure. "Who's the unlucky girl?"
He shot me a glare."Nikki Jones, she's studying film and music theory."
Wait, what?! Was he talking about Nikki Jones, the introvert back in his high school years? Hmm... So they were the typical "bad-boy-good-girl" couple. How very interesting...
"I'm meeting her parents on New Year's Eve," he said as we passed through passport control and customs and other security crap like that. "That's why we're only staying in Switzerland for like... a week or two."
I nodded, understanding. This is a big step for Kris. He's never had a steady girlfriend ever. The longest girlfriend he's had before Nikki was Alicia Brown, that Natasha-the-bitch's sister. They lasted for a month before he broke up with her. According to Kris, Alicia was just quote, unquote "too clingy and demanding". Besides, he used to say he wasn't very sure about asking her out, because she could just be using him to gain more popularity around Malibu. And it turns out that it was all true.
