"So I guess I'll see you tomorrow? You and your parents are coming over for dinner, isn't it?" I asked Baekhyun, as I checked on the numbers on the screen and the papers repeatedly.

It had been a year since I graduated. I was offered a job as accountant in a company before I graduate, so yeah, I'm working there now.

"Can't you tell your boss that it's your boyfriend's birthday today and you wanted to be with him?" Baekhyun whined. I smiled as I can imagine him wearing his round spectacles, shifting one of his hands into the pocket, leaning against the wall.

"It's my boss's twentieth anniversary with his wife tomorrow. He wanted us to work nicely on the accounts so that he can show his wife how successfully he is for their twenty years of marriage. I'll feel bad if I get a day off for today, I'm sorry, Baek. Plus, I get a whole day off tomorrow…isn't that good?"

"Well that's good but sadly I can't get a day off. Hmm, never mind. I actually got quite much patients for today…and also a surgery later."

"Work hard, I'll be hanging off first. If I continue to talk with you I can't focus on work." I chuckled and told him.

"Alright, I'll work hard for our future." He chuckled. "See you tomorrow, Jaeyoon-ah. Work hard for our future too."

I chuckled and put down my phone and continue with my work.

"Boyfriend?" I heard a person asked. It was my colleague, Mdm. Hwang. I smiled and nodded, "Yes."

"That's sweet. I'm being reminded of the old days when me and my husband call each other when we're working just to tell each other to work hard." She smiled sweetly at me.

"That's adorable." I replied.

"What's your boyfriend working as?" Mdm. Hwang asked.

"He's…he's a doctor." I responded. Mdm. Hwang nodded, then said, "He must've been really busy all the time, isn't it?"

"Yeah, we rarely meet, actually." I smiled.

"It's normal. Don't worry, till the time when the two of you get married, you'll get to see each other everyday that you'll get tired of it." She chuckled.

"You should make yourself a little more presentable." Mother commented as I stirred the soup as she asked me to do.

"I'll go and change right after this." I grinned and told her. The doorbell rang.

"The Byuns are here!" My father shouted from the living room. Mother turned to me, "Go and get change, we'll get the door."

I just nodded and went to my room, opening the wardrobe and took out a pastel pink top, and also a black skirt that reach my knees.

I went out after I done dressing myself. Baekhyun's parents were already seated around the dining table, while Baekhyun is nowhere to be found.

"Annyeong haseyo." I bowed deeply at them as I greeted them with a warm smile.

"Come and sit down first, Jaeyoon-ah." Baekhyun's mother smiled warmly at me and invited me to sit. Baekhyun soon came out from the kitchen with two bowl of rice.

He pecked my cheeks slightly as he placed down the rice. "Hello, Jaeyoon."

I blushed a bit that he just did this in front of his parents. The both of them just chuckled at their son's action. Baekhyun sat down beside his mother, while I took the seat beside Baekhyun.

He took over my left hands and held it, while rubbing the back of my hand softly. My father soon joined us at the table, taking the seat beside Baekhyun's father. The three then started chatting, while Baekhyun and I talked to each other as well.

"I'm expecting a birthday kiss from you but I got nothing." He whined at me.

"It's not even your birthday today." I chuckled.

"But still, you owe me one. It's okay, you can return it later." He chuckled as well. Mother then came out with the bean paste soup and we started having our dinner.

After the dinner, Baekhyun and I did the dishes while both of our parents chatted in the living room. We went to my room after doing the dishes, having our own time and some personal space for ourselves.

"Can I get my kiss now?" Baekhyun grinned at me like a child as I sat down beside him in the bed.

I just smiled and leaned in to peck his lips. "There you go."

"Thank you honey." He kissed me back and grinned. "You know, I've been waiting for something else…something more special."

"Like?"

"For us to become family. That's my birthday wish." He smiled at me. I was taken aback by his words. Is this a proposal?

"Marry me, Jaeyoon." He suddenly took out a ring and told me. "I'm not going to kneel down since you'll probably know it already that I am sincere enough in this. I really want us to become a family and stay together, getting through everything together. You know how much I love you too, Jaeyoon."

"I do." I wrapped my arms around his neck and whispered beside his ears. He hugged me tightly in return, then slipped the ring into my ring finger.

"Come on." He pulled me up from the bed and leaded me out from the room happily. I just chuckled and followed behind him.

"Mom! Dad! We can finally set the dates!" He yelled happily at our parents who are sitting in the living room. The four of them looked really happy.

"That's why I told you to be confidence, child." My father laughed. "My daughter will agree right away to be married to you." He chuckled.

All of them knew about this? So I was the only one who doesn't know anything.

"I'm glad that you're keeping this childish kid, Jaeyoon-ah." Baekhyun's father chuckled. Baekhyun just shot a glare at him and whined, "Appa!"

"I tried hard to endure with his childishness too, abeonim." I chuckled. "Call me appa, like how Baekhyun did." He just smiled.

"My baby girl is really marrying." Mother hugged me tightly and said, patting my back. Baekhyun's mother smiled as well, and said, "Welcome to the Byun family, Jaeyoon-ah."

"Yeah, Byun Jaeyoon." Baekhyun chuckled as he ruffled my hair.

Byun Jaeyoon.

Starting from 7th May 2019, I'm living off with a new identity.

Byun Jaeyoon. I like how it sounds.

Fun fact: after I finished writing the whole story, I suddenly remembered that my parents have the exact same occupations as Baekhyun and Jaeyoon in this story.
