The Kingdom of Fiore.. a small secluded land... and a world filled with magic..
And also massive havoc if you're going to a place called Magnolia Town without a helmet. You don't think you need a helmet? Ha! Don't say this humble writer never warned you.. Don't you tell me I can't break the Fourth Wall! I do what I want!
Now... on to Magnolia Town..
there was a particular magical guild in this place that held fame throughout the land as the strongest of all guilds, where mages of the highest caliber and the most rambunctious nature worked and dwelled
Fairy Tail
And the main character of our story, happened to be a Martial Arts mage.. a Saiyan, a warrior race from beyond the planet itself..
And what was she doing at the moment?"
"WHAAAAAAMMMM!!" A shockwave reverbrated throughout the guild hall, causing random guild members to yell out and fly onto their backs... as the resident Iron Dragon Slayer.. Gajeel Redfox, and resident Saiyan, Pumkin Everezz literally rammed their foreheads against each other.
"Not bad!" Gajeel growled, grinning as he pushed his own forehead against Pumkin's
"Not bad yourself!" said Pumkin, grinning back.
"Shall we move on to the next contest?" said Gajeel.
"Hell yeah!" said Pumkin.
"Those two at it again?" said Mira cheerily as she handed Lucy a drink at the guild bar.
"Yeah.. " said Lucy with a sigh. "Wow.. I wonder if they'll ever run out of anything to challenge themselves to."
Ever since Pumkin had beaten Gajeel at an eating contest the first day she joined the guild, the duo had gotten along famously.
Gajeel had taken it upon himself to challenge Pumkin to various contests almost every day. And Pumkin being a Saiyan and therefore naturally possessing a competitive spirit, had obliged.
Gajeel had won some and Pumkin had won some.. the two of them never seeming to be able to reach past a tie or just one up in number of wins. Pumkin had won Arm Wrestling, Eating Contest, Sumo wrestling, and boxing every single time.
Gajeel on the other hand, always exceeded into Jogging, Rock Climbing races, and Waterfall Meditation Endurance.
And the both of them always tied at Head Smashing, which nobody in the guild knew what the hell the objective of that was to begin with.
In any case, Gajeel and Pumkin were close now.. in terms of friends, Gajeel was only second to Natsu and Lucy where Pumkin was concerned. (Erza was a different case, for Pumkin it was a different kind of closeness.)
"Alright!" said Gajeel. "Geehee.. guess that chalks us up to... hmm.. what's the score?"
Pumkin brought out a booklet where she marked several points under a score board they had written there. "Huh.. still tied as of today... got any other challenges? Wanna try and take me at arm wrestling again?"
"I still don't get how your small arms are so much stronger than mine.." Gajeel said. "Hmm.. hey, there's one contest we both haven't tried.."
"What's that?" Pumkin asked.
"A spar!" Gajeel said with a grin. "A good ol' fashioned battle! No holding back! I wanna see just how strong that so called Super Saiyan form of yours is!"
"Oh?" said Pumkin, her eyes lighting up with positively joyful delight. "A battle? That sounds AWESOME!"
Immediately everyone around the guild began to whisper.
