"W-wait.. you have to believe me!! Frieza cannot be trusted!! Let me see King Vegeta! This isn't right!!"
Far away on the distant planet of Vegeta, named after the King and Ruler of the Warrior race known as the Saiyans, one man was trying appeal to the king himself.. warning him of an upcoming threat...
Within the dark palace, full of muscular men and wild looking women in strange looking body armor all of them possessing monkey-like tails. a particular Saiyan named Bardock glared up at King Vegeta... a regal looking Saiyan with a high widow's peak and beard..
"LISTEN!! You must suspect as much as me, as you've sent your Son Vegeta off world already!" Bardock roared. "Frieza intends to wipe us all out... and if we let down our guard now! We'll surely die!! We worked for Frieza for all these long years, but he sees us as nothing but tools overall!!"
"you misunderstand.." said the King. "I did not send my son off world because of my intent to keep him safe. He has proven himself weak in comparison to my new daughter.. Pumkin.."
The king nodded at the little three year old girl, dressed in a royal saiyan battle suit, and cape to indicate royalty.
"Huh?" the little Pumkin stared at Bardock. " D-Daddy?"
"P-Pumkin!" stammered Bardock. "You bastard! She's MY daughter! You only took her in and away from my family because Lord Beerus granted her his blessing!!! She's just a means to raise your reputation!!"
"LIES!!" roared King Vegeta, standing up and pointing at Bardock. "I will NOT hear them! Take the man away!!"
"LISTEN!! MY DAUGHTER ASIDE THIS DOESN'T DISMISS THE THREAT OF FRIEZA TO VEGETA!!"
"SILENCE! LOW CLASS SCUM!!!"
King Vegeta thrust out a hand, and a ki blast sent Bardock blasting through the doors of the palace.
"Wh-why are you hurting Papa!?" stammered Pumkin.
"Princess Pumkin.. you will soon learn that as the God of Destruction's chosen, you yourself must learn to sever ties with lesser beings." said King Vegeta. "Now.. come.. I've called for a denizen of the Saiyans of Universe 6 to tutor you in your combat training today...
Outside the palace.. Bardock fell to his knees.. gritting his teeth furiously. "D-damn it.."
Suddenly, a glow appeared before Bardock.. and a figure in the glowing light whispered. "Problems?"
"Yes... you entrusted us to bare this girl.. Gine and I .. and as such we have become her parents in blood.." Bardock whispered. "However.. we... I... I can see the future.. I can see Frieza's treachery.. please.. bring her back to your world.. and raise her.."
"I can't.."
"YOU MUST!!" Bardock roared.
The figure bowed her head sadly. "I... I.. will see what I can do.."

Present Day.
"That's the Hyperbolic Time Chamber-whatsit?" said Pumkin. "Looks old.. and broken.."
"It's a dangerous device overall." said Mana. "Unless you enter with another person.. it's easy to go mad or crazy inside.. I mean spending an entire year alone with no other human contact gets to your head pretty quickly.."
Mana looked at Natsu and then Laxus. "You two.. are the ones I've always remembered who have somehow been able to defeat the foes before despite all odds.. I want you both to train in there.. for a year.. which only last a Day outside the chamber.."
