"Maddie! You're going to be late."

"Late for what" I moan into my soft pillow.

"You're flight for Australia takes off in a couple of hours and you are only halfway done packing. Hun, I know you don't want to go but grandma needs you. And I have to go on business. But I promise I will meet you in Australia in a few weeks, if you want me to." I groan and sit up.

"Will you help me finish packing?" She smiles at me.

"Of course, honey. You're grandmother already has you're room set up. You just have to put what your taking with you in there and you'll be set for the summer." But what if I don't want to leave London.... Oh what am I thinking?! Bye drama. Bye annoying cousins. Hello beach!

I throw some loose jeans and a blue tanktop on my bed for before I leave to my new "home" for the summer.

"Maddie, hun, are you done packing? We have to go or you're gonna be late" mom yells. Sighing I take one final look at my half empty room and walk down the stairs into the living room. My older brother Dylan was waiting by the door to say his final goodbye, since apparently he was staying here to "watch Mason and take care of the house."

"I'm gonna miss you Maddie. Don't get into to much trouble without me. Text me everyday. I don't care what time it is, if you have boy problems I will come down there and whoop some a.." he starts but notices Mason beside him. " ... butt."

"Dylan, I'm not gonna get into trouble or have boy problems. I'm going to Australia to get away from all the drama boys cause. But if I have any problems I'll call you. And as for you little man. Make sure Dylan doesn't try to take over my room while I'm gone." I say picking up the six year old.

"Maddie I don't want you to leave" he cried onto my shoulder. I sighed trying to blink back tears.

"I know. But I'll be back before you know it. And hey if you ever miss me to much just get Dylan to call me. No matter what time it is I will answer." I hugged him one last time before hugging Dylan. Mom honked the horn.

"Maddie c'mon or you're going to be late" she yelled. I walked out the house and threw my stuff in the trunk then climbed in. We pulled slowly away from the house as if she were saying 'take it all in now cause you're not coming back for a while'.

Well here comes a peaceful summer...maybe.
