Chapter 16

Colby's POV

I cant  believe brennen did this to me... I thought he was my best friend.

My phone vibrated and i picked it up It was brennen

From bren: Im sorry colby.

Colby: No your not.. You hurt me brennen 

Bren: I know and im sorry... Todd and his buddies threatened me

Colby: Oh they did...

Bren: Yeah...

Colby: Still idk if i can forgive you...

Bren: Plz

I ignored him after that whats the use trying to get my best friend back.

I Just have to move on...

I went back to sleep..

I woke up to a doctor checking everything.

"Can he come out today?" Someone asked.

"Yes he seems to be fine."

"Good.Ill take him when he gets up" 

I felt someone come up and hold my hand but i stayed quiet.

"Oh my god colby.. I feel so guilty. I love you and i hope you know that. I shouldve stopped them or ran with you." Sam wispered.

"I will never forget how i could've helped."

"Or how I could've just held you in my arms and ran...." He kissed my cheek and I felt a tear role down his face going on mine.

"Its not your fault baby." I whispered making him jump.

"You were awake?" He asked.

"Yes... And you did all you could." I said kissing him.

He smiled softly.

"You get to come home today." He smiled.

"Yay lets go now, I'm already sick of this place." He laughed and went to get the doctor.

"Lets go baby boy." He laughed when I blushed.

He took my hand while we went to the car. I sat in the front seat and started on my way home.

"Hi sam and Colby" My mom saidcheerfully.

"Hi mom." I said giving her a hug.

"Hi ms. Brock." Sam said smiling.

"Colby go upstairs I wanna talk to sam." My mom said.

"Okie." I said going up the stairs.

Sam's POV

"What did you need Ms.Brock." I asked sitting down on the couch with her.

"I'm dieing sam..." She said sniffling.

"W-what?"

"I have cancer and I don't have much time. I need you take care of Colby for me."

I stayed silent.

"IS it okay of he lives with you just intil he is 18. I hope you guys are still together."

"You can fight.."

She cut me off.

"The doctor said I have a couple more weeks..."

"Colby will be so heart broken... You are his sunshine." I said almost crying.

"I know.. That's why I need you to take care of him.. Hes fragile sam."

"Are you gonna tell him?" I asked.

"I will... Go get him for me.." She said.

"Okay."

I walked up the stairs to get Colby.

"Get down there princess."

"Okie." He said cheerfully.

Colby's POV

"Whats up mom?" I asked sitting down.

"Colby I'm dieing." My mom saif.

I just froze.

"I have cancer."

A tear rolled down my cheek.

"Yo--you cant leave me mom... I need you." I said crying.

"I know honey... I'm sorry. The doctor said I only have a couple weeks to live."

"No plz mom..." I cried.

"I'm sorry honey."

I went over to her and hugged her and cried on her shoulder.

"I love you mom..." I said.

"I love you to sweetie." My mom said crying with me.

We stayed like that for a while.

"Now go up stairs with sam.. Get some sleep." My mom sniffled.

"Okay I love you mom." I said kissing her on the cheek.

"I love you to."

I walked up the stairs with sam and just layed on my bed.

He put his arms around me and I cried onto his chest.

"Its okay love." Sam said patting my back.

I Just kept on crying.

I fell asleep like that. Me laying on sam and just crying.
