The Greenie Before Me

You giggled as Thomas continued to make fun of Gally. "Thomas, give the poor guy a break."

He chuckled as he took your arm and guided you to the serving area. Frypan had just set out all the food and it looked pretty good. "You can get whatever you want, cute stuff." Thomas told you.

"Thomas, you know my name right?" You asked with a light blush painting your face. "You don't have to call me cute stuff."

"Yeah, I know. But I want to call you cute stuff. It's fun and suits you perfectly."

The redness on your cheeks got even brighter. You didn't say anything. Thomas brought you to the table he always sits at. Soon, you were joined by Newt, Chuck, and Alby.

"I see you got the hottie of the Glade, Thomas." Chuck joked.

"Come on, Chuck. Don't make her uncomfortable on the first day." Thomas looked away from you hiding his colored cheeks.

Chuck rolled his eyes then looked at you and smiled. You could tell you guys were gonna be close. He had the most adorable little smile. "You know Thomas was the Greenie before you?"

"Yeah, I know that." You said.

"He wasn't a very bright Green bean either," Newt added, quietly chuckling.

Thomas blushed again. "Guys, she doesn't need to know everything that happened before she got here."

"Of course not." Newt swallowed a spoonful of soup. "We're just telling her the stuff she needs to know."

Thomas sighed deeply and face palmed as you giggled loudly.

About a half hour later, when everyone was almost finished, Alby stood up for some announcements.

"As you Gladers all know, we got our newest member of the Glade. Also, our first female. I just wanted to say, she is not an object to fight over and no means no. She will choose who she feels comfortable being with..." Alby began.

"We all know who that's gonna be." Chuck mumbled.

"What was that, Chuck?" Thomas asked, knowing what he actually said.

"Nothing." Chuck looked up at you and Thomas and smiled.

"After this, everyone should settle in their beds and get a good night's rest." Alby looked at you and lowered his voice so only your table could hear. "And tomorrow we'll find you a job."

You giggled.

"This is my favorite Green bean ever." Thomas whispered to Newt, not knowing you heard him.

You smirked and blushed at his comment that you weren't suppose to hear. I'm gonna like this place, you thought to yourself.

Sorry this chapter is super short. I'll try not to make them this short in the future, but... Stuff happens.
