The Perfect Greenie Pair (Thomas x Reader fanfic)

Tour of a New World

You gasp heavily as you wake up alone in a cage like box. It was continuously moving up until it came to a stop. An alarm sounded just before it opens at the top. A bright light shone in the cage as dozens of young boys peer at you from all directions.

One boy, blonde and cute gently hopped in the box. He placed two fingers on your chin and examined your face. "Bloody hell, it's a girl,"

You look at him with the 'Are You That Dumb' expression all over your face. He caught on that you were thinking he was stupid and held a hand out to help you out of the box.

After noticing boys your age everywhere, you felt a slight fear overcome you and you dashed away from all the males. Before you could get far, another cute boy stopped you.

"It's okay, we won't hurt you," he held both of your hands to keep you from escaping.

You glanced back and forth between your hands and his beautiful hazel colored brown eyes.

"You'll stay here with us, okay?" He asked.

Quickly, you pulled your hands from his and nodded, feeling heat rise in your cheeks.

He sighed in relief as he explained to you what would go on next. "Alby will give you the tour and then later you can meet us at the bonfire."

"I'm Alby," A short dark-skinned boy waved. He had a friendly, welcoming look on his face that made you smile to know you're welcome here.

Alby showed you their own little world and explained all the Glader slang to you. "One more thing, Greenie,"

Your smile of amusement faded. "Yeah?"

"Do you remember anything before you came to the Glade?" He became serious.
You had to think a minute before telling him you remembered your name.

Alby smiled as more Gladers surrounded you. "Y/N!" They all called and cheered.

Later at the bonfire, the cute British boy approached you. "Hey, y/n. I'm Newt. I didn't get a chance to tell you earlier after you almost flew to the maze."

"Well," you smirked, "we all get that action of fear when it's bad enough, right?"

Newt slightly chuckled. "I guess that's true. Anyway, would you like to meet the other Gladers?"

You nodded in excitement and followed Newt around the bonfire. The first person he introduced you to was the cute boy who stopped you from running away earlier.
"Y/n, this is Thomas. He's our newest runner." Newt explained.

"I was the Greenie before you, and I can honestly say, we are quite alike." Thomas smirked.

"You've barely even met me, how do you know what the hell I'm like?" You snapped in a friendly way.

"That run you went for, I did the same damn thing. Maybe we can be runner partners, if you can keep up."

"Is that a challenge? I love challenges. You wanna know why? Because I never lose." (Sorry if it's kinda Minho personality I'm just competitive and it shows in everything I do.. also I really like Minho)

"You wanna make it a challenge, cute stuff?" Thomas said, taking a step closer to you.

You felt your cheeks shade a light pink. Did he just call me cute stuff?! You thought to yourself. "Yeah, we'll make this a race."

"Tomorrow after the maze doors close?"

"Meet me at the box." Honestly, you were a little worried. He's probably faster, obviously stronger... You glanced at him once more before Newt dragged you off to meet more Gladers.

You got to meet all the runners next. Minho, the keeper of the runners, was sassy. Yet you could tell he was fiercely loyal and trustworthy. Ben was a party animal. You could see it in his actions, but decided not to find out too much about anyone yet. All you really wanted to do was talk to Thomas...

Next there were the builders, the med-jacks, and the track hoes. Everyone seemed pretty nice... Except Gally. He acted like a jerk to Thomas and you were kinda worried about that.

But that wasn't your main priority. The first thing you needed to do, was finish adjusting to this new world you were gonna be living in.

Guys just wanted you to know this is probably gonna be the longest chapter in the story. But I'm just guessing so maybe not.

Also this is my first fanfiction so please don't judge me if it sucks. But maybe comment on what I should fix.
