Chapter 18. A gunshot

Reina PoV

I was waiting at a café, were me and Marian were supposed to meet. He had to bring small microphones and a few other devices. After waiting for around five minutes, I finally saw him at the end of the street, carrying a briefcase with him.

"Bonjour, Reina." Marian smiled at me.

"Bonjour, Marian. Do you have what I asked for." I asked.

"Getting straight down to business as usual I see." He smiled and we started to chat. We chatted about the mob, and everything in between.

"I'm really sorry, mon cherì, but I have to go." Marian said, handing me the briefcase.

"Thank you for your help." I smiled and we exchanged briefcases. He gets the money, I get the product.

After I got back to Tres Spades, I was greeted by Soryu sitting on the lounge couch, waiting for me.

"How did it go?" He asked.

"I got everything we need, now I just need to program the headsets and microphones so they work. And then we are ready for tomorrow." I replied, trying to sound positive, but my shaking hands deceived me.

"Everything will be okay, Re. You'll see. We will win, I know it." Soryu encouraged me.

"You're right. Now, I have to get back to work." I smiled, pecked him on the lips and left the room.

I had some headsets to program...

"Inui, can you hear me?" I asked through my headset.

"Loud and clear, princess." Inui replied.

"Can everyone else hear me?" I questioned everyone this time.

"Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes...." We're heard on the other line.

"Okay, okay, I understand, everyone heard me."

Soryu explained the plan to his men, while I was on the other line, checking if all cameras were working. They were placed, so no one could see them. Not even Soryu knew were each camera was placed. Only me.

"Re, are you there?" Soryu asked trough the headset.

"Yes, what is it?" I asked.

"I can see the Knights coming. Wait for any type of signal to begin looking through the cameras, okay?" He explained.

"Yes, sure, were did you---" I was cut off by the most obvious signal to start.

A gunshot.

Hey hey, everyone I am finally back with an update to the story..! Guys, I so hate writers block!!! I cannot handle this! I was stuck for around two months, trying to get past writers block and I finally did it.
Right now please pardon my English, but; Dear Writers Block, can you kindly go fuck yourself?! Honestly, it pissed me off to no end, but I'm back and continuing with the updates.
