"Lyn Uzumaki?" The nurse steps out in a flood of patients waiting.

Lyn fiddled with her thumbs, then felt a warm hand take hold of hers. She gazes up to see Naruto giving her a reassuring smile.

Standing up together, they walk hand in hand into the doctors office.

They sat down in separated chairs though still holding hands. The Doctor with their chair turned finally spun around towards the couple.

"Hello Mrs. Uzumaki! I'm, Doctor Uchiha—"

"Sakura we know you, there's no need for the introduction." Naruto slightly laughs

The pinkette sighs in defeat mumbling something over the lines "it's called professionalism idiot."

Plastering on a serious expression on her pale face, Sakura folded her hands leaning on her desk, "we're hear today to talk about the problem you've been having with the baby, correct?"

Nodding her head 'yes' Lyn decided for now not to speak. Sakura internally frowns upon her closest friends action.

"Can you define the problems please?" Sakura asks nicely while grabbing a paper and pen. "Well.." Lyn starts.

"For a while now, I-I haven't been able to sleep properly, and I don't eat as much anymore. I tend to worry over the baby even though I know I should. I just have doubts in my mind while I worry."

"Describe those doubts, will you?"

Lyn nods licking her lips; "I doubt that I'm not a good mother, or I won't ever be—"

"Don't say—" Naruto interrupts

"Naruto." Sakura warns, the waits for Lyn to continue

"I have yet to feel the special bond with my baby every mother seems to talk about. The pain in my chest won't go away...a-and my will to do better is there but I feel like a waste of space." Lyn closes her eyes "as if being a mother wasn't meant for me." a tear slips down.

Naruto watches as his wife cries in her chair, having the hunch in her gut she had years ago.

The memories rushed back like a wave, as he pictured her sitting on the stone bridge of Konaha, ready to take a leap..

"Please...I can't take the pain anymore..please help." Lyn whispered.
