Chapter 5- Proposals

Annabeth's P.O.V

Right when I was about to tell Will, Thalia called me over.

Thank the gods, Will was too nice to probably get a divorce because his wife is a secret cheater.

Drew sounded relieved, but didn't make it too obvious.

"Oh, gotta go!" I said and as Percy got back with two plates I walked toward Thalia with a pouting Percy left at the table.

Thalia was alone. No other hunters. She said she sent them off to find big foot. Even though he isn't real.

That, or she's pranking me. She probably was pranking me because the hunters are too smart too go looking for a folk tale.

"Today is demigod pranking day, it's a special holiday the Stolls made up last year" Thalia explained. She told me everyone was pranking each other. She told me even Percy was planning a prank against me, Jason, Piper, Hazel, Frank and Leo with the Stolls.

I asked her how she knew, but all she said was something in Greek I couldn't understand. "What?" I asked. "We can't speak here. Stolls have ears everywhere. Even in your cabin" Thalia explained.

She held up two fingers. She and I decided when we were still runaways that we would meet by the most special tree we had.

And that was our signal. A better way to describe it is: 'meet at my tree in 2 hours'.

I nodded and headed back to breakfast. Percy was still pouting and had my plate next to him. I laughed and sat next  to him.

"What was that?" Frank asked. "Thalia wanted to talk to me" I replied simply and took a piece of cheese off of Percy's plate.

Then everyone scooted closer to me and leaned in in front of me. I widened my eyes. "What?" I asked. "What did she say?" Leo asked. Oh gods, I'm going to have to lie to them. Or just tell them the truth. "Percy and the Stoll's are going to prank us today" I said simply and they all gasped. Well, except for Percy.

Everyone backed up. "Traitor! We formed an alliance!" Jason said glaring at Percy. Percy leaned in close to my ear. "Where did you find this out?" He asked. "Like I said, Thalia told me" I said smirking.

He leaned back and took a cracker off of my plate. He glared at me while I ate. I couldn't help but laugh. He took pranks seriously.

One time we decided to prank the school we work at into thinking I was pregnant.

I got a raise because of that. But when they found out it was a prank I got my raise taken away. Oh, and one other time (this was once we got back to camp half blood after defeating Gaea) we pranked Piper that Jason told us to break up with her so he could go marry a brick.

She got mad and slapped Percy. That was a good day....

After lunch, Piper, Hazel and I got together at the canoe lake and sat near the water as we watched demigods race.

We told each other about our lives recently. Hazel had a few kids, who are now at a babysitters house, Piper's kids are at her dad's house, Piper got a job at a day care, Hazel and Frank have been living at Camp Jupiter, Piper and Jason live in Brooklyn.

You know, important stuff like that. Meanwhile, the guys are catching up, and the Hunters are getting unpacked.

Yeah, Jason and Thalia don't need to catch up because they said that they visit weekly.

"Wait, wait" Hazel said trying to hold an obvious laugh. "So when Percy proposed to you, he didn't have a ring, didn't even get on one knee, he just simply told you to change your last name?" Hazel asked. I nodded. I haven't told anyone that story. Well, except for my mom. But that's because she asked.
