Knock woke first as he always did. The early morning light bathing the room in a soft glow through the white curtains. He had spent every night at Korn's apartment since they had started officially dating. He attempted to return home last night, but had never made it past the bedroom door. Today he had to go. If for no other reason than to take care of any food leftovers he'd left behind. His room probably stunk worse than a garbage dump.

From the space next to him he heard a soft snoring. Korn was still out cold. It was no surprise with the energy he had used last night. He lay on his side, his body curled inwards, his leg thrown over Knock's legs, pressing him into the bed. He looked so innocent in these few moments Knock could catch him unaware.

As Korn's leg weighed on him, his own body demanded his attention. He needed to empty his bladder or accept dire consequences. Knock grabbed Korn's leg and pushed him away. Instead of freeing himself, he was rewarded with Korn shifting positions and kneeing him right in the groin.
"Fuck." Knock rolled into himself the best he could with a meaty leg holding him down. "Korn, fucker, wake up."

Knock pushed against Korn's leg again. His hands braced and ready to shield himself from a second attack. He was so focused on defending his lower half, he left his upper half vulnerable. A sharp pain attacked his chest as two fingers pinched his nipple. His hands flew to his chest, away from his lower half. His attempt to save his upper half resulted in another knee to the groin.

"Gahahah." Knock yelled out no actual words. His body bucked in pain as he threw a giggling Korn off of him. With his sudden freedom he rolled off the side of the bed onto the floor, hitting the hard tile with a thud. Korn's face appeared over the side of the bed, openly laughing at his situation.

"Morning wifey."

"Fuck you." Knock scowled back. With the pain nearly subsided he pushed himself off the ground. He felt Korn's eyes on him as he moved from around the bed toward the bathroom. "What?" Knock snapped. He hadn't woken up in a foul mood. He had gone to bed happy. In fact, he had been happier these last few days than he'd ever had in as long as he could remember. But a knee to the balls was enough to end any streak of happiness.

"Want to shower together?" Korn asked, laying on the bed, one arm tucked behind his head, licking his lips.

"No." Knock snarled. He escaped into the bathroom before Korn could bother him anymore. He'd barely begun to relieve himself when the door flew open. "Privacy man."

"Privacy? I've already seen it all. What is there left to hide?"

"That's different. I'm peeing."

"I saw that before we started dating."

Every muscle in Knock's back tensed. Which was a horrible thing to do mid stream. The morning has started perfectly, for about 10 seconds. It had been all downhill since then.

"Come on, shower with me. I promised my sister and P'Phu we'd go to breakfast with them."
"You did what?" Knock was happy he'd finished using the facilities. The shock might have created a bigger mess than he was ready to deal with.

"What? You don't want to go to breakfast with our friends?"

"It's not that. It's just that I don't think I've ever seen you get up this early for any reason except class, and even then that's questionable. But you actually made plans to get up this early. Who are you, because you're sure as hell not Korn?"

"Want another kick to your balls to remind you who I am?" Knock's hand instinctively covered himself for protection. Korn laughed at him and leaned forward. His honeyed voice whispered in Knock's ear. "Do you think that will stop me from getting what I want?"

A long shiver went down through Knock's body, from ear to toe. Korn's breath felt soft and warm against his skin. His eyes closed as Korn moved closer still. His body pushing him a step back into the cold countertop. His eyes shot back open. With a quick shove, he forced Korn a step back. Korn's tongue was between his teeth, his mouth wide in a smile that said I am going to eat you alive.

"Korn, we don't have time for that."

"Who says?"

"You did. Didn't you just say we're going out to breakfast?"

"I did? I did. Shit, why did I agree to that? And so early too."

"I was wondering the same thing."

"My sister, she called me last night and caught me off guard. It was when we were getting dinner last night. I didn't think about what I was agreeing to."

"So does this mean we're going on a double date with your sister?"

"Oh hell no. At least I don't think she and P'Phu are official yet. Something about waiting for him to finish school. But, crap, it is a double date. Fuck. Why'd I agree to this?"

"Because you're an idiot." Korn's hand smacked him upside the head before he even saw it coming. Knock rubbed where he'd been hit, even though it didn't hurt. "Hey don't punish me for your own mistakes."

"Fine. But if we have to do this, we need to get ready. Get in the shower."

"Wait, we don't have time for that."

"I don't mean for that. It will save us time."

Knock stared at him, disbelief in his eyes. He was right to be wary. Their shower together lasted longer than if they had taken them separately. Between Korn's roaming hands and exploring lips, they were 20 minutes late leaving the apartment.

As they walked down the hallway toward their early morning breakfast with Korn's sister and P'Phu, Knock realized he was still happy. For how annoying the morning had been, it was nothing compared to the joy he felt being next to Korn. He bumped his shoulder into Korn, knocking him sideways into the wall.

"Dude, what the hell?" Korn said, rubbing the shoulder Knock had bumped in to.

"That was for kicking me in the balls this morning. Twice."

"Oh you think that was a kick. Come here."

Knocklaughed as he took off running with Korn close on his heels. It didn't matterif he got away or if Korn caught him. All that mattered was that he was there,by his side. His best friend, his lover.
