Korn shifted on the concrete stairs. They were the most uncomfortable place he could have picked to sit. But he wasn't about to go anywhere. Knock was still ignoring his messages. He was reading them, he just wasn't replying.

After getting up that morning Korn had sent three more messages. When Knock ignored those as well Korn decided his next step was camping out on Knock's apartment steps and to wait for him to come outside. He hadn't expected to be waiting quite so long. His ass had long since fallen asleep and his legs were numb from being forced in to such an awkward position.

As the end of vacation was approaching the life on the dorms was more active than previous days. Students returning from trips home or trips to the beach were all filtering past him as he sat waiting on the stairs. A few nodded his way in recognition, giving him their greeting as they walked by. At about half past ten a small group of policemen went running by the bottom of the stairs. As they didn't stop nor look his direction Korn only watched them as they continued past. A few others students standing nearby gawked with him.

"What the hell?" A male asked over to the left.

"What's going on?" A female asked as she scurried to the bottom of the stairs to watch the policemen dash out of view. A minute later two men dressed in regular clothing ran in the same direction as the policemen. Korn continued to watch from his perch on the stairs as the others around him were drawn in by whatever wild drama was playing out on the campus dorms leaving him alone. Uninterested in what was happening beyond Knock's door Korn returned to looking at his phone, daring it to ring.

"You fucker." The voice whispered in his ear. Korn jumped from his spot on the stairs. His numb legs wobbled beneath him and forced him stumbling down four stairs before he could stop himself from falling head first in a pile at the bottom landing.

Korn swung around on his unsteady legs, his apology forgotten, instead ready to curse out Knock for causing his spirit to flee his body. His mouth open, the words ready to pour out in a tirade of curses and spite, and he stopped. Knock stood over him. His mouth sealed tight in a thin hard line, his nose flaring wide with each breath, and from his eyes a fire burned from deep within, even past the swollen purple and red skin that encircled one of his eyes with bright painful colors. One look at Knock's eyes and the anger slipped from Korn to a puddle at his weak legs.

"What?" Was all he could get out before Knock was on him again, down the remaining stairs that separated them, finger out, hitting Korn hard in the chest.

"This is all your fault."

"Why? What?" Korn sputtered unable to find the words. His mind couldn't catch up with what was happening. Last he'd seen Knock he'd been fine. Well at least not injured. Now he was furious, sporting a giant black eye and blaming him for the damage. What had happened in the last 16 hours that had led to this? Korn moved forward raising his hand to touch the side of Knock's face. Knock slapped his hand away.

"Why? Because of you. If you hadn't acted the way you had and made me jealous I wouldn't have left. I would haven't gone to the gym alone, and this." Knock gestured to his face. "This would never have happened."

"This doesn't make sense." Korn struggled to understand what was happening. All he could see before him was Knock's handsome face, deeply injured, and in pain. "How did this happen?"

"Because of your girlfriend and her ex Ram."

Korn's already weak legs shook beneath him. He stumbled even though he did not move.

"Ram did this?" His voice was as unsteady as his legs.

"Fucker sucker punched me right in the middle of the gym." The final strength went out of Korn's legs. He fell to the steps, his head bowed. "What the hell is wrong with you? I am the one who's injured." Korn felt Knock kneel beside him. A second later there was a quick jab into his side. "Hey." Knock poked him a second time in his ribs. "Hey are you crying?"
