Stainless:
stains on the towels
stains on the concrete
stains in my psych
scars on my body
S t a i n less
Demons
floating in my morning cereal
Prying
their way into my thoughts
"Cheerio
motherfucker, we're back."

four-hundred-forty reasons to sink to the floor
Silver:
in my eyes, in my skin
Red:
on my agenda, running down my wrist
Blue:
my mental state, the color of my lips
Stainless:
propaganda.
Stainless doesn't mean it stains any less.
It means It doesn't rust
but the blood still flows
and the memories remain
forever stained
on the linens of my mind.
