Part 8: Moving On

Jusvent Kyo POV

"What was it then Cris?" I asked the second time. She stay silent.

"Its just that. . ." she started.

A music envelope the two of us from the stereo of my car. All this time, I haven't notice that the cars' window are open and the music were playing all along with our heated conversation.

I wanted to hear her words but it's too late. I found myself starting dancing to the tune while walking at the center of the road. This place is far from civilization, and the night is going deep.

~ Alright! Alright! ~

The emotion in her face changes, like its saying 'what the heck are they doing' and I just can't help myself but to chuckle with her expression.

"Come on!" I said as I gesture her to stand next to me. "It will be fun," I added.

I started dancing with the beat while still asking her to dance with me. Its not a typical dance, its more of an RNB music we used to dance before.

Do you Remember by Jay Sean ft. Sean Paul and Lil' Jon.

~ I've been thinking about you
And how we used to be then
Back when it didn't have to live
we could start again ~

"You sure do remember the steps," she said smiling as she move next to me and do her part of the dance.

~ There's nothing left to say
Don't waste another day
Just you and me tonight
Everything will be okay ~

I was now dancing while singing the song.

~If it's alright with you, then it's alright with me
Baby let's take this time
let's make new memories ~

We just dance and laugh and dance, the way used to do it before. It feels good to see her laughing heartily. Making fun with our mistakes. And letting our body drip off with sweat. It's like were having our own dance rehearsal in this space.

Samantha Cris Cortez POV

We were panting after our dance. He took some refreshment in the car, good thing he bought some energy drink when were at the mall. I took some face towels at the car's compartment and handed him one. We lean at the car while taking a look at the dancing city lights from the top.

We were silent. But the silent between us is overwhelming.

"I missed this," he said that make me smile.

This is just how I remember it. A top of the hill scenic surrounding. Riding bikes, going to a fair, watching noon time shows, and dancing.

"There's nothing left to say," Jusvent started singing in an acoustical tone. "Don't waste another day. . ."

"Just you and me tonight. . .Everything will be okay," we sing in chorus.

"If it's alright with you," I let him sing the line.

And he on the other hand, let me sing the line. "Then its alright with me."

"Baby let's take this, let's make a memory."

And right then, I have to move forward. Our words hit it. It's time for us to make new memories.

As the silence revolves around us and the pounding of my heart is the only music I hear. I hear it's pounding like a turtle who crawls the way it lives, to a rabbit hopping in excitement until it's running like a tiger preying for a food. My heart beats fast. I felt my blood running up to my head that I just can't help but to let the pinkish pale skin turns red like a strawberry ripes from it's vine. All was surreal.

You were seating comfortably that makes me daydream of sitting next to you. Laughing hysterically with our jokes, pushing and hurting each other like a vanilla cream caramelized in sweetnes. I look at you, and you're confusing eyes caught me off. You ask me "what's the matter?" but all I have to give to you is a smile. When the truth is, I was thinking of the "what if's."

What if you notice me? Notice me in a way I have notice you. Where in you will see me beautiful in every inch. Even fats were to cover my skin. Even black becomes my color. Even craziness is what you have seen in me. I will still be beautiful in your eyes.

What if there's you and me? I was the girl who roams around your house. Who will make your home, my home. I can freely cook around while you were busy being with me. We laugh and laugh, we play and play. Pan will be your shield, spatula will be my sword.

What if your eyes meant something? The way my mind thinks when I look at you. The way my minds revolves around you and me in the world of "what if's."

Because of you, I have realize something, my operation of moving on has been accomplished unexpectedly. But what scared me most is I might fall for you and the operation of moving on will take place again. And those time, I don't know if I can find another you. A you that helps me move on.
