Part 10: JUST SAY THE WORD

Samantha Cris Cortez POV

Nathan accompany me at Cupofaroma. He makes sure that I got in so he decided to come with me in meeting my friends. But he decided to just stay at the the ground floor while I headed at the roof deck. It’s a spot allocated for special events, and this is were me and my girls usually spent the nights together.

I give them a waved as they look at my direction.

Rose decided to bring the kids at the ground floor so that we can have a private talk. And with the kids and Rose being out of sight, they started giving me a strange look.

“What?” I asked them.

“What happened?” Gail asked.

“Yeah! What happended?” Junessa seconded.

“Nothing,” I just told them. “Nothing happened. I just didn’t feel like having a dinner at all that’s why I never come in the dinner. That’s all.”

“Then, can you explain to us, why Jusvent earlier is acting crazy. And. . . your eyes are bloodshot.” Mari reacted.

I can’t stop it. Tears were now gushing out. They just hug me and letting me cry.

“I don’t know what happened either. I feel my heart betrayed me. And. . ., " I take a deep breath." And I hate it,” I explained in sob.

“Sam, why don’t you tell him.” Donny suggested.

“Yeah!” Leigh agreed. “Among us, you’re the frank one. You always tell us whatever you think was right and wrong. You’re the one who can voice out your thought.”

“I can’t.” I said while nodding my head. “I can’t. .  . " I stop and breath." Right now. . .friendship is the least thing I can have with him. And I don’t want that to fade just because of this stupid emotion.”

“Crush that.” Honey said. “You will be hurt in the end even if you will still friends. I tell, tell Jusvent the truth.” She added firmly.

“Yes.” Gail agreed. “We only want what's best for you. And right now, you should tell Jusvent the truth.”

“What should I need to know?” We heard Jusvent from our back.

We looked at him in surprised. He stand still while waiting for us to answer.

Jusvent Kyo POV

"You should tell Jusvent the truth," I heard Gail said when I'm about to come closer to their table.

"What should I need to know?" I asked them in confusion. They look at me in surprise.

"He wants to see you," Rose said from my back.

They started to stand up from the chair except Samantha. They give me a smile as they walk pass me. I know what their doing, they'll giving us privacy.

I walk closer to her. "What was it Samantha?" I asked him.

"What are you doing here?" She asked without looking at me. She just stay at her place while holding a mug of coffee.

"I'm worried. Okay? We were supposed to have dinner but you didn’t come. I called Miko but he said that you’re supposed to be at our dinner," I answered.

“Ours?” She asked me with pain in her eyes.

“Yes. Ours,” I answered. “And then when I come here, they said that you cancel your dinner with them ‘cause your having a dinner with me. What was that for? You’re making me worried sick.”

I just sit down in front of her. I look at her while she on the other hand avoided my gazes.

A music envelopes the roof top. Her eyes shows disbelief as she realized what her friends are doing.

I give in a soft laugh. So childish but this is better.

"What are you laughing at?" She asked with an disbelief expression.

I stand up and stand at her front. I offer my hand in a gentle manner asking her to dance with me.

"May I have this dance?" I asked genuinely.

"You cannot. We’ve been dancing together for weeks now," she told with her one eyelids up.

I chuckled again. "Come on, we haven’t dance today ‘cause you ditch our date." I said with a smile. My charm still doesn't work. Instead, I hold her hand and pull him up from her chair. And we start swaying.

"You shouldn't have come here, Trisha might be looking for you." Samantha said.

"Why does, everytime I want to spend time with you. . . you always keep on telling me about Trisha?" I said wondering.

“I was at the restaurant earlier. But I thought that you don’t need me ‘cause Trisha was already there.” She said while bowing her head so that I can’t see her.

“I told you, I have something to tell you.” I told her.

“I know, and you didn’t have to tell me that your now together. I know it from the start,” she said without meeting my eyes.

“No were not!” I reacted. She lift her head, and I meet her confusing eyes. "Are you jealous?" I said hoping she have been jealous with Trisha. Cause if she was jealous, I'll do the promised I have with Trisha before I got home.

She closed her eyes for a while and I pray in silence. Please! Just say the word.

"What if, I do?" She then asked.

"Then I believe, I have something to tell you." I said while I meet her confusing eyes.
