“Everything is set,” Trisha said cheerfully. “Were good to go now," she added almost squeaking of excitement after putting up all the items in the car's trunk.
“Now. . .Cris!” Jusvent called Samantha. “Hand me the keys. I’ll drive,” he demanded.
“You sure?” Samantha asked him while handing her keys.
“Yup. Just show me the way,” he said as he slid in the drivers seat.
Trisha on the other hand, sit at the back seat.
"Trish, why don't you sit at the passenger seat?" Samantha offer the seat.
"I'm good here," Trisha said while smiling. "And besides, I'm really not yet familiar with the places. This will be my first out of town activity," she added cheerfully.
"Okay then," Samantha smiled at her.
Samantha was about to slid into the passenger seat when Miko called her.
“Sam! I’m coming with you,” Miko said while holding a traveler’s bag. Samantha just nodded.
"Do you want to take the passenger seat?" Samantha asked her brother.
"No, who knows what might happen." He answered. “Let’s go!” Miko said as he get inside the car.
No one speaks. A deafening silence surrounds the four of us. My brother Miko and Trisha were at the backseat while Jusvent focus his sight in the road. I turned on my stereo and connect it in my phone. I was about to choose a song when Gian caller ID flashed.
“Hi!” Samantha said as she answered her call.
"I am with her already," Gian just said.
"That's great then," Samantha said cheerfully. "Can you put me on the speaker?" She added.
"Gi! Sent her safely back from where you pick her up. If something happened to her, I'll cut you off. . ." Samantha said while talking to Rose and Gian via phone.
After a few talks, they decided to end up the call.
"Who did you talked earlier?" Jusvent asked.
"Its Gian," Samantha answered.
"What does he want?" Jusvent asked rudely. Samantha just didn't bother wondering.
"It's about our supposed to be meeting with his mom," Samantha answered. "I sent Rose instead so they can continue the event," she added.
"Really?" Jusvent said as he take a glance at her.
Samantha just nodded.
"That's great then," Jusvent smiled widely.
"Yeah! Good thing Rose agreed to my request," Samantha said.
"Well, we know Rose. As long as she can do it, she would gladly do so." Jusvent stated that made Samantha smile. "And my cousin," he added.
"What's the connection of her kindness with that fact?" Samantha asked confusingly.
"That means, kindness is in our genes." He said sheepishly that made Samantha laughed.
"I can't believe this, I'm talking to a boastful man. When was the last time I talked to that type of person?" Samantha said trying to be sarcastic.
