Gwen and Liz both walk up to Harry and me, holding plastic cups filled with punch. "Is everything alright between you two?" Gwen asks.

"I overreacted yesterday," Harry says. "I'm sorry, Pete."

"Harry, you had every right to be mad, so don't worry about it. I'm sorry I barely made it to the funeral," I reply. Harry holds out his fist out his for a fist bump. I punch it and he smiles at me.

"I didn't think you guys would stay mad at each other for long," Liz says. "You guys are practically inseparable!"

...We were inseparable before I got that spider bite. Has this spider bite been more of a burden than a blessing? Before I can dwell on this thought, Gwen hands me my punch. "Here you go, Peter."

"I--uh--thanks, Gwen," I say, snapping out of my train of thought. She nods.

The song suddenly changes to some pop song that gets a lot of radio play and Liz smirks. "Come, on," She says to Harry, grabbing his arm. "Let's dance."

"This punch kinda sucks," I say to Gwen after taking a quick sip, as Harry and Liz walk away to get closer to the music. She chuckles and looks at me.

"What a great conversation starter," She says to me.

"Well, this whole relationship thing is still new to me. Sorry," I smile at her.

"Am I your first girlfriend, Pete? Or did you have some secret one I didn't know about?" Gwen asks, mischievously.

"Uh...Am I your first boyfriend?" I ask, awkwardly.

"Don't avoid the question, Pete!" Gwen laughs. "Was I your first girlfriend?"

"....You were also my first kiss," I tell her.

"No way!" She says. "I don't believe that. I thought you kissed Liz in eighth grade."

"Nope, I didn't even hear about that," I reply. "Honestly, you were my first kiss."

"Is that why you didn't just lean in and do it when we were on my front steps?"

"Yeah," I nod. "I'm assuming it wasn't your first kiss, then?"

"No, remember when I dated Oliver Smith back in seventh grade?" She asks.

"Mhm, I remember him."

"We hung out at the playground at the school, back when that was considered a date; we were talking about stupid seventh grader stuff and he just leaned in a kissed me."

"Oh, ok. I would've been surprised if that was your first kiss."

"...Was it a good kiss?" Gwen asks, a little nervously.

"What...? Yeah, of course, it was! It felt...really natural."

"Thanks, Pete," Gwen smiles, before kissing me again.

After a while of just kinda talking to Gwen, Liz, and Harry. The dance starts to wind down and with a slow song. "Hey, Pete," Gwen says. "About that dance..."

"Lead the way," I say to her before she grabs my hand and pulls me closer to her. She guides my hands to her hips, before placing her arms around my neck. We begin to sway back and forth in a slow, passionate motion.

"Thanks for bringing me, Pete. While our first kiss wasn't my first, this dance was."

"Of course, Gwen. You're so special," I say, leaning in for one more kiss, this one more meaningful than the rest.
