[Little long, but worth the wait I hope! Enjoy!]

comess : a confused or noisy situation

Georgia had managed to pull together enough money to buy a nice bottle of wine for Thanksgiving dinner at Carli's, even though she was told not to bring anything. She wore a rosewood colored crop top sweater with a black skirt and tights, along with a pair of tan ankle boots. She figured she was only going to the apartment, so she would not have to dress warm.

She knocked on the door, her skin starting to rise with goosebumps as the chilling air hit her skin. Thankfully the door opened almost instantly, Carli's husband answering it.

"Hey, Georgia, right?" He greeted, and she nodded with a huge grin, sticking out her hand.

"Georgia Jacobson. Carli invited me over for dinner tonight." She responded as he shook her hand with a good grip. He widened the door for her to step inside, taking the bottle of wine from her hands.

"Brian Hollins." He responded quickly as he shut the door. "I've heard a lot about you, all good things that I know of." He added with a wink as she followed him towards the kitchen.

"I've heard plenty of you as well. It's great to finally put a name to a face, and voice." Georgia said with a smile as Carli got a turkey out of the oven.

"You made it!" She exclaimed with an excited smile. "I see you two have met already so I don't need to introduce you guys. Dinner should be ready soon, so you guys can just sit tight." Carli said with a smile as she started to put food on the table. Georgia decided to see what she could do in the kitchen, and she helped set the table as time winded down for them to eat. The three of them sat at the dining room table, Brian sitting at the head of the table, Carli and Georgia sitting to either side of him. They said Grace, then said something they were thankful for, a little Hollins family tradition that they adopted over the years, and finally they dug into the fantastic dinner that Carli prepared.

"Who knew you were quite the chef, Carli?" Georgia commented with a smirk.

"I was brought up pretty good. Helped out with family party dinners every year." She responded.

"So I want to hear more about you, Georgia Jacobson. I've heard some things from my wife, but I'm so curious that I want to know more." Brian said abruptly, all of them beginning to laugh.

"I hope they were all good things..." Georgia's voice trailed off, sipping at the glass of water in front of her. The both of them laughed, which caused her to as well.

"Of course not. I only tell him what a horrible friend you are." Carli winked, and then Georgia felt comfortable in the situation she was in.

"Well what do you want to know, Brian?" She asked with a chuckle. She took a drink of the water glass in front of her before he started firing away.

"Wow, I don't know where to start now... Carli told me you have a boyfriend that is in the US Army? What is he like?" He asked.

"Yeah, Antonio. We've been friends since we were in first grade, and we've been dating for almost seven months, but I haven't seen him in six. He's back in Portland right now with his family for the holidays." Georgia briefly explained, a small smile coming to her lips at just the thought of him.

"You're from the States, why aren't you home with your family?" He asked, and she watched as Carli nudged him hard with her elbow.

"I couldn't afford it." She simply responded with a sigh, taking a moment to get some food into her system. "The turkey is amazing, Carli." She commented with a huge grin, getting off of the subject.
