---Chapter 1: I Hate Water---

Annabeth's Pov
I was searching around Camp Half-Blood, looking everywhere. Where could he be?! I thought. "Hey, Conner, have you seen Percy?" I asked.
"Nope, sorry. Why?" he asked, confused.
"He was suppose to help me with my designs for Mount Olympus," I answered, my eyes searching for my Seaweed Brain.
"If I were him, I would be hiding for sure," mumbled Conner under his breath. I glared at him. Only then did I notice that Conner was holding a hot glue gun. My eyes narrowed.
"What's that for?" I asked, gesturing towards the glue. Conner hid it behind his back, the way a 5-year-old would do.
"Oh this," he scoffed. "Just arts and crafts." I rolled my eyes.
"Fine. But if you see Percy, tell him that I'll be looking for him." Conner nodded and hurried away, running to Travis, who was smirking. I shook my head at the two prank-kings of the camp. I jogged to the canoe lake. I sighed out of frustration and sat at the edge. I began fiddling with my fingers when I noticed the water begin to bubble. I leaned forward and tried to see into the water better. Suddenly, Percy's head popped up.
"Hiya," he said, grinning. I frowned.
"Why are you hiding?" I questioned. Percy chuckled nervously.
"No reason, j-just wanted to talk to the fish and stuff." I rolled my eyes. "Gods, Wise Girl, if you keep rolling your eyes, they'll pop out of your head." I couldn't help but smile, at least for a moment.
"Shut up, Seaweed Brain. C'mon, I need some help with my designs for Mount Olympus," I said, extending my hand to help Percy up. Instead, he shook his head
"Nah, I like the water better," said Percy, smirking. I glared at Percy. "Please, Wise Girl?" He made an adorable puppy face, but I tried hard to ignore it.
"But I need to finish my design, at least, for Athena's room. I was thinking about adding a big, life sized owl and-" I was cut off by a wave of water that toppled over me, soaking me from head to toe. I stomped up to Percy, who was laughing his head off. "Perseus Jackson, get out of the water so we could go." Percy slowly stopped laughing, but still suppresses a smile on his face.
"Wow, full name. You sound like my mother." At that comment, I exploded.
"Percy, now!" I yelled. Percy smiled.
"Alright, alright," he said with a sigh. I stretched out my arm to help him up. Percy held my hand, but instead of getting up, he pulled me down. The next thing I know, I'm in an air bubble in the middle of the lake, still soaking wet. I looked at Percy, who was, of course, completely dry.
"Why don't you get wet, too, Seaweed Brain?" I suggested angler.
"Hmm. No thanks." I glared at him.
"I hate water," I mumbled. Percy chuckled and wrapped his strong, warm arms around me.
"I love you, Wise Girl," whispered Percy. I couldn't help but smiling.
"I love you, too, Seaweed Brain."
