18: one last time

"wow, ang pogi natin ngayon benjamin ha." ate ella said and gave me a smile. i chuckled, "me and sophia are going out on a date." she looked surprised but she just smiled. "okay, enjoy benj! love you." she told me, "love you too, ats!" i wore my adidas and went out. i called kuya manny and we drove off to batangas.

once we reached their house, i rang their doorbell. "HOY SOPHIA YOU'RE BOYFRIEND IS HERE NA." i heard kuya sean's voice. i laughed and waited for a few seconds, "eto na a kuya e! bye!! love youuuu." i heard her said and the gate opened revealing the most beautiful girl i know. "hi," i smiled. "hello, love!" she cheerfully said and gave me a hug.

i was taking a vid of her for my ig story when she spoke."where are we going?" she asked, "to our favourite place." i answered. "lahat naman ng pinupuntahan naten, favourite naten e." she said and i laughed. "edi don sa pinaka-favourite naten." i told her and her face lightened up, "omg i'm so excited!!" she clapped her hands like a five-year old kid.

i posted it on my ig story. "when u take ya girl on her most favourite place in the world 😂❤️"

enchanted kingdom, laguna

"yay!! let's go na love!" she squealed and grabbed my hand. we fell in line at the ticket booth before we enter, once we got our tickets she ran inside. "beatrice! don't run!" i told her and she stopped, "sorry. i just got super excited." she said and grinned, we both walked while i interwined my hand on her's. i saw her taking a photo of it.

we rode the log jam, space shuttle, and lots more. we're sitting here at benches, eating ice cream. "i remembered the first time we met here," she spoke and i looked at her. "you were lost that time, same goes to me." she continued and she smiled. "exactly at that spot, i went near you and asked what's wrong." she pointed at the sidewalk on the other side.

"then i told you i was lost," i said and smiled, she chuckled. "yea, ang cool lang kasi parehas pa tayong nawawala tapos sabay tayong umiiyak non." she continued and we both laughed. "tapos mom saw the both of us, walking hand in hand at the carousel part." i told her and she smiled. "tita asked you who am i then you answered i am your girlfriend." she added and laughed.

"why did you said that, nga pala?" she asked me. i shrugged, "i also don't know, maybe because i fell inlove with you that time already."

"wow, a five year old benjamin ryan pangilinan fell inlove that fast?" she said, her eyes wide open. "maybe..." i said and finished eating my ice cream. "let's go to the ferris wheel naman, it's already sunset!!" she told me as she stood up. we walked to the ferris wheel.

"it's so beautiful." she closed her eyes, i stared at her. i'm so lucky with this girl. "hala, tinititigan ako ni crush." she said and prentended to be surprised. i laughed and pulled her closer to me, "come here." she got her phone and we took photos while we're here at the top. "i love you." i said and kissed her in the lips. it lasted like, a few seconds i think?

"i love you, too." she said and kissed me.

7:13 p.m.

"thank you for today, love! nag-enjoy ako." she said as we reached their house. i smiled, "anything for you!" i told her and planted a kiss on her lips. "aba, nakaka-ilan ka na ngayon?" she raised her brows and crossed her arms. i laughed and answered,"maybe 5?" she blushed which made me laughed louder.

"i'll be heading upstairs na. text me when you got home, okay?" she told me like she's my mom or ate ella. i smiled and said, "yes, love." we hugged for one last time, it was so long and i don't know, i don't want to let go of her. "o sige, take care. i love you." she said and gave me a peck.

"i love you too. bye."

1:00 a.m.

i didn't sleep. all i did the whole night was to cry and talked to ate frankie, ate hannah and ate ella. it hurts that i'll leave because of my fucking sickness. it hurts that i need to leave my friends, my kuya's and ate's, and benj. i'll miss them all.

i wiped my tears as soon as i heard a knock on my door, it revealed kuya sean. he gave me a weak smile, "you better get ready." he commanded and i nod. i stood up off my bed and took a warm bath. i wore the sweater from benj, it was his varsity sweater. i pulled up my pants and slip on my vans. i blowdried my hair, i got my backpack and luggage. i'll miss my room, my memories with benj flashed back to me.

i wiped my tears and turned off the lights before closing my room. goodbye for now.

i went downstairs, seeing my mum and brother. "dala mo na ba lahat?" mum told us, i double-checked my things at my backpack and— oh shit. "i'll be right back." i told them and jogged upstairs. i got the papers from my sidetable and the frame. i went back downstairs, "sorry, i almost forgot." i told them and showed the letter and the frame. i put it in my backpack and we rode kuya's car.

we went to the pangilinan's first. i saw kuya donny, ate hannah and ate ella at their living room, including tito and tita. i didn't see benj, as i expected. i told them i'll just go to benj's room. i went upstairs and opened his door quietly, he's still sleeping. i walked close to him, i can't help not to cry. i covered my mouth using my hands to prevent waking him up, i put my letter at his side table. "goodbye, love. i'll be back, i promise." i whispered and kissed him.

i went back downstairs, crying. kuya donny stood up, outstretching his arms. i ran to him and we did a tight hug. we all went to the airport. the whole drive was quiet. once we reached the airport, we bid goodbye to them. malelate na kami sa flight kase, i went to kuya donny and gave him a warm, tight hug. "i don't want to leave you guys." i said, sobbing.

"you need to," his voice cracked, he faced me. he's crying, i don't want to see him cry because of me. "i know you'll come back." he added and kissed my forehead, lasting for a few seconds. "be a good girl, alright?" he told me, wiping my tears using his thumb. "yes, kuya."

i also went to ate hannah and ate ella, "i will miss you, mga ate." we did a group hug. "balikan mo kami, ha?" ate ella told me, tears streaming down on her face. i nodded, "we'll wait for you." ate hannah said, crying at same time. i gave them a smile and we hugged for one last time.

"we need to go na, anak." mum told me and i nod, before we enter, i went to kuya donny. "in case na hindi na ko bumalik, give this to him on his birthday, okay?" i told him and handed my letter. "don't say that." he seriously said but i just looked at him. i hugged him before i went to mum and kuya.

i waved goodbye to the pangilinan's, same to ate veronica. she's here also, "we'll be right back, babe." kuya gave her a kiss on the forehead.

when we were staying at the boarding gate, i opened my messenger and said goobye to my friends. i went to twitter and tweeted,
