This chapter was inspired/based upon autumn_young101's entry to the Open Concept. This probably won't affect the story. You are always welcome to put an entry in! Just know that if I don't do yours, I either missed it or honestly speaking didn't really enjoy it. I probably won't be accepting stories that are only smut either. There can be smut in them, tough ;) Just know I edit these, so they aren't exactly the ones on my feed. I cut out parts that don't make sense and edit grammar. I will try no to change too much!Anyways, enjoy!
Liza's POV:
The missing girl looks exactly like the one from my dream. I try to shake it off, convinced that I must still be dreaming. I go to the kitchen to make breakfast for David and I, and a coffee for myself. I hear my phone chime. It's a text from Kristen.
K: Scott's still asleep and I'm hella bored. Wanna go to Target or something?
L: I mean, I've got nothing better to do. David's sleeping too.
K: Our husbands are such lazy asses.
L: I know, right? K I'll see you in a few.
K: Alright.
David's POV:
I wake up to the sound of someone walking around the house.
"Liza?"
"Yeah babe?"
"Are you ok?"
"I'm fine. Go to sleep. I'm hanging out with Kristen for a bit."
"K, bye."
I hear the door close. She seemed kind of upset. I hope she was actually ok. I flip over my pillow and go back to sleep.
Liza's POV:
Kristen and I hop into her car to go to Target. We sing along to the radio as she drives.
"Do you even know what we're getting?"
"Not a damn clue."
Kristen's POV:
"We came needing nothing and ended up with a cart full of stuff. We have an issue"
We crack up at Liza's joke for a solid five minutes. I feel my phone vibrate in my pocket. It's my mom.
"Shit, I've got to take this."
I walk over to a less crowded area in the parking lot.
"Hey, mom!"
"Kristen... have a seat."
"What? I can't. I'm in a parking lot!"
"Shit. Ok. Well, I've got some devastating news. Your - your father was in a car accident. He's got some major brain damage, and he's going to be in the hospital for a while."
My head starts to spin. My bags and phone drop to the floor. I can't lose him. I've almost lost three people in the last two years. I squat on the ground with my head between my knees, picking up the now cracked phone.
"Shit. SHIT! Sorry, mom. I can be there by Friday. Fuck this, man. I love you, I've go to go."
"Ok, love. Stay safe."
"I will, bye."
I slide my phone into my pocket and wipe off my face, making my way to the car.
Liza's POV:
Kristen seems really, really upset. He mascara is all smudged and her eyes are really red.
"Hey, are you ok?"
She says nothing, shaking her head, and starts to sob.
"C'mon, let's get you home."
She sobs into my shoulder for the whole ride.
First of all, autumn, this was not very bad. There were only a few minor mistakes. You should write more! Second, everyone, I will be uploading these once a month. Please don't post these on my feed! When you click my profile, there is a "Send message" button. Please send things to me like that. As always, sorry for typos.
thx babes!
